on daily chart you can see the previous support which rejected the north push

first rejection then acceptance then high !!!

EURUSD yet trying to take out the highs aiming for 1780/1800. Below yesterdays low 1700/15 is where it might head.

As they say it's time in market not timing the market.

You aren't going to make any decent amount of money scalping FX markets unless you already have a lot of money to play with, in which case you aren't a 'retail trader'.

How many times per day I scalp you think? Multiply that in 5 for /week.... how many pips you gain or lose per week as a swing trader? Or for a day trader? Compare it. Who has the most pips played? Also that matter is, the use of lots size in proportion to account balance.

Successful scalpers make more money than successful position traders l can assure you guys as a position trader. Basically because lower tf charts create more swings, have more volatility going on. I look at the daily chart and most of the volatility comes from the news events. Market is moving fast just for few days in a week. On the other side, scalpers don't have to wait like i do.

For example i have made 300 pips from GU but it's open since the beginning of the August. It's been nearly a month. For a position trader that's awesome but it may not satisfy a scalper or a day trader.

Scalping offers the most pips, but more earnings mean more risk as well. Also let's not forget that scalpers need to be on screen for hours. They are generally at more rlsk so, the more you risk more you earn.

The EU market is changing like, all the other markets on the world. Some days we expect trend trading and some other days range trading depending on analysis.

Volatility is playing a big role, when its low it might go up and if, its up it might go low, but that what we have is what we see now.

Other days less, other days more, or none, we can follow what it does and adapt, so we can make more on a higher timeframe, or less in a smaller.

You can make entries on small timeframes, but always have the bigger view on your mind and try to follow the trend, so you can maximize your gains.

Usually the best ideas, like buy low and sell high are working much better in the end from just scalping without knowing what you are doing depending on luck and only, it just needs patience to wait for example the Daily trend to turn, so you can start to make entries on smaller charts.

Scalping could be taking 50 pips and longer term trading is taking more from the table.

You can scalp and take longer term trades, but better if, you are a new trader stick and learn good one skill, become an expert to it and then you can move further with another.

Don't forget it takes time to win in forex, because there are almost zero chances that you are going to be millionaire in only one day. Just think if, you make 10 pips every day, how many doors in your life are open. Many friends and relatives will agree.

Pivots work well until they don't; same with Fibs and moving averages. Bollinger Bands are sometimes useful, sometimes not. Taking a fixed profit from a risk reward ratio sometimes works, and sometimes it results in you taking profit and missing a much bigger move. You can read books and courses and the more you learn the more you will realize you don't know. Trying to get 10 pips a day sounds reasonable until you spot big trending moves on a chart and think to yourself, I could do much better from catching these moves.

jaunty - you might find this interesting i too use the 20ema but with the 20ema on the next higher time frame. so on the hrly chart below i have 20ema, 80ema (4hrly 20) and 480ema (daily 20). I also do the same with the 50ma, then 200ma and finally 1200ma. i am less interested in the 50ma though. i do this across all time frames.

the 4hr chart cross of 20ema & 120ema can be exposive.

this came out of a trading room i was in back in the early 00's supposedly the guys running it took it from their professional mates. its not a top indicator but probably second layer as it's actual about 60% of the time.

The biggest possible move can happen tomorrow with the US GDP numbers. I am actually waiting for that. Today was not bad though, gold went down pretty good.

bit of a wild ride here. The fact that it seems unable to reach the high of yesterday complete with a load of chop means a drop is on the cards.
