As a Turkish citizen, I doubt that. We have serious economic problems, we have millions of immigrants crossing our borders from Syria & Afghanistan and those immigrants create 10% of our population. fun fact, EU is paying money to Turkey leaders to keep refugees (immigrants) inside Turkey and stop them from going to Europe.
so the people on the top get a lot of money, but people on the bottom get a lot of problems

it is pretty much same everywhere
