Those are the people that haven't figured out how to trade successfully from a phone. Plenty of folks in the 1950's -1980's did their trading mainly by telephone.

I traded in the mid-80' and I use what was then available - the fax machine and teletext terminal.

No. It isn't a terrible idea.
It is a good way to place orders when I am on the move.

I use my Android mobile to place orders and I have my VPS running 24x5 my brokers trading platforms.
With my small mobile screen I cannot do any top down analysis with the efficiency I want.

Running my trading platforms in PC I have may other trading tools and features not available on a mobile device.

I only use my cell phone as a hotspot to power my laptop. On a phone I cannot look left the way I want. It could be that I do not have the skillset to manage my phone. I am one who needs at least a 15 inch screen. I have to see ranges and support resistance levels that span a quarter or so.

I think you might be conflating phone order taking with analysis. I need to be able to look left, way left.

"trading from a phone" are your words. So it appears that you are conflating "trading" with "analysis".

Can you elaborate a bit more on your difficulty on “looking left”?

I use iPhone 12 pro max, and most of the phones nowadays has an aspect ratio higher than standard computer monitors which is 16:9. iPhone is close to 20:9 and most other phone is 18:9 (or 2:1) and higher.

when viewing charts on charting apps on phones in landscape orientation, the chart actually cover more in the left-right direction.

All tools in BigE’s TMS 5-methods are applicable on MT4 and/or TradingView app. In later stage you can start stripping off some indicators. In terms of trading skills, I don’t see any difference unless one need to rely on EAs, but TMS 5-method does not need an EA when you are skilful and fluent enough in analysing the charts quickly.

How left do u need to look at? On my phone it can go back 2 years +2 more months with daily chart. Can extend the “left” by setting the current bar closer to right edge of chart
