DislikedIs that the end of the up move? SL hit on long, what a shame, entered too late. Not quite a good week for me. These are the mistakes I made: 1) Entered longs at the peak 2) Adjusted or increased SL couple of times this week, thinking that the market would retrace. 3) Tried catching the free falling knifes couples of times and got injured really big. How do I get rid of these bad habits? Doing the newbie mistakes again and again.Ignored
Just like in jungle, survival is very important; in trading too survival is very important.
Learn from another trader, but never follow him.
You don't even know what is running in his mind every moment and how he is reacting to those thoughts.
I am not an impulsive or emotional trader. Sometimes when i see prices moving very fast, I don't enter or close a trade.
There I am able to feel the pulse by the movements.
Some traders always wait for it to reach certain levels like a support or resistance and then act based on the price action around that area.
One of the secrets is to gather the FACTS of what a market IS doing not what you wish or worse, predict it would do.
Believe it or not a person can just look at price action and know, but it takes months, even years of practice to gather an understanding.
There are no shortcuts, no magic formulas or a holy grail.
The moment you identify what looks like a holy grail, you have to realize that it is temporary. Successful traders find holy grail(s) because they are equipped with knowledge and experience.
If you don't have either, you won't succeed.
Market spares none.
No favoritism.
Markets are very cruel.
It will not stop at punishing, but terminates most of the time.
Sincerely
PAT
