Thought I’d skip the breakdown of each element related to trading and share the conclusion. You are always in your element though, so maybe this is a bit redundant!
PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER
We have to think about which system will help us in each situation.
Which system will help us change for the better?
Which system will help us grow?
Which system will help us get control?
Learn the basic skills of each system to create a foundation upon which to develop a fuller understanding.
Many traders start thinking about profit (metal) and learn many technical skills (earth) and then they try to outsmart the market with speed and try seizing every opportunity (fire); it is much later they learn timing and calm (wood) and then from experience they rely more on wisdom and memory, on instinct and reactions (water). Perhaps it couldn’t be otherwise, however, in my experience water and wood systems are 90% of the job. It is a question of making life easier and more natural for you. Knowing everything the market has to attack you with and take money from you, and reacting to it calmly. Knowing how to change.
The element that gives birth to the problem is often where we find the solution.
How best to defeat the fire? Starve it of fuel.
How do we protect ourselves? (metal). Control the position (earth).
Can’t find a good position? (earth). Wait for an opportunity (fire).
The market is too fast? (fire). Change the timing to a slower time frame (wood).
Make constructive change become a natural part of everything you do.
Fighting fire with fire is a gamble - do not use the same element to solve a problem.

It took me almost two years to realize that problem is not anywhere else but inside me.
My fight is not with the markets buy my own self. I AM THE PROBLEM and I started working on me.
