Daylight Trading Strategy

Currently pyramiding short orders on Dax. Happening too quickly to keep updating charts but I'll update when I close out.

i agree and also prefer the old roadmap more for my trading. it supports me in my orientation where we are.

in my eyes a proper analyses of what is left, S&R and trend feeling are the most important parts for longterm success.

i stay with my GU 1minute trading and again your introduced "approach" like daylight helps me a bit more to catch the train(s) each day.

I think you make an important distinction between Roadmap and Daylight. For the reasons you mentioned, I'd certainly encourage new readers of this thread to learn the basics of Roadmap first. As you say, it automatically forces you to think of the bigger picture, and to see current moves in context.
Update on Dax. I've been taking little chunks of profit as the instrument dropped. Total profit +313 points.

It's gone quiet now but watching closely in case we have a new leg down.

Bought Dow at red arrow. Obviously a counter-trend trade, so I won't give it too much wiggle room.

AUDCAD sell? To confirm the trade I use a template another template, which is more visual than Price action, but I use it with the same purpose.

In that case, the template shows a clear downtrend at AUDCAD so if the agresive template give the chance, i'll take the trade. And as i'm trading with the trend, it's realistic going for 20-30 pips (I think).

Out of Dow +41. Starting to struggle a little at Yesterday's Low.

I forgot to mention, it's worth grabbing the Yesterday's High/Low indicator from the Roadmap thread if you don't already use it. These levels are very important.

Hi PetroPol, thank you for this new strategy you just shared. I observed a number of arrows - green arrows pointing
upwards. Are they showing a bullish signal or what? Confused a bit, since you're shorting the pair!

Good example of how price action can be traded in both directions on same day.

Please note that I'm currently using 5m charts in Standard mode. Price action lately has been more suited to Standard than Aggressive.

You can only be net long or net short in the market, trading on both directions is impossible.
AUDCAD in a clear downtreand (H4).
Good trade today. Waiting for +20 pips, moving the SL to +5 pips.
I'm doing it in my real account but just with 0,01. I'll be increasing the lots with time.

Well spotted! I find I can envisage whether red or green would be on top by looking at price action, so decided to make my charts cleaner and remove them. They are still useful guides for those that require them though.

You misunderstand.Maybe English is not your first language. In simple terms:
First trade is short. The next trade is long. ( Total of two trades)

hey guys,

so am i right in saying that we use the ADR to determine roughly the better pairs to trade on the day ? if so would someone be able to give a brief description on what to look for on the ADR please... thank you in advance

Yes and No......Yes, ADR can be helpful in selecting the pair(s) to trade. We need volatility to trade. Yes, ADR can help with an intraday trade for exits and to make sure that there is room for the trade to move. If a pair has used 90% of it's range already, probably not a lot left in it for the day. Finally No, if you are trading larger timeframes, ADR does not matter as much I dont think because you will be in for several days and each days range is somewhat irrelevant as long as it is not "abnormal" like extremely large or small
