This is because I think too many people get hung up on all that and it prevents them from relating the price action back to the actions of the market participants and thus inhibits true awareness of what is going on.

Cheers Pat, I remember you mentioning this before, thanks I'll make sure to study it

I saw it as a wedge type pattern backed up with MACD divergence. Just to make it even more meta/inception like, this wedge is forming on the retest of an H1/H4 wedge. I felt really confident in this trade, just unfortunately mucked up the execution either by entering a little early or too tight a SL first time. Look at the manipulation too, not once but twice they took out the buyers BE stops so I wasn't the only one.

I was looking at the DXY rectangle too, it had all the hallmarks of a fake breakout, bounced off the h1 supply and I believe it will test the other side of the range it's in now. Whether it will fake break the otherside or continue down I don't know

Targeting 1.3960 here

I am looking at between 4080 and 4100 unless the swing ends earlier, however at the moment i am waiting confirmation for the entry on H1

I'm surprised you can keep your multiple negative trades for so long. You don't breakeven some of them when price comes back down? Anyways, it looks like price went back up which is good for you.
