Isn't underestimating some things, and being fooled by others, very much like making assumptions that are derived from poorly founded beliefs rather than objectivity?

Have you considered that by your having eliminated approaches to system development that contain greed, fear, or accompanying denial, or just plain ignorance, that you may have eliminated some major psychological barriers for yourself?

Therefore when you trade a system you have developed perhaps you find it easy to follow rules and not be emotional because you have confidence stemming from using realistic system design methods that keep you objective? (using god son as basis ?)

Whereas that is foreign to people who have failed to weed out their ill founded beliefs and concepts about trading and systems?

That all sounds like psychology to me. Please refrain using god names in this thread.

Anything else is fine (TA or Fundie or Geo political)

Some real tight range today. US data later which could decide today’s direction I suppose. Have a feel if we hit 13940 area we could end up back towards 139. But as it’s Friday anything can happen

We are all humans and such need reasons to do things.
For us to take any action we would need a reason to do so.
That's i believe the first thing that the Technical Analysis does for the trader, it gives him a reason to buy/sell.

We all want to believe that everything happens for a reason.
In real life that is true to a certain extent. The markets however quite often differ from what we know as being true in real life.
There are many reasons for the prices to drop/rise and to assume that the reason is a couple of squiggly lines or a fib number is foolish and naive.
The price structure/indicators may provide the trader with some help in making the trading decisions but in no event are the signals provided by those indicators responsible for the outcome of the trade, simply because they can not influence the outcome.

If one is trading based on TA there should be a set of rules/indicators that one uses in the same manner all the time.
In no event will those indicators provide perfect signals all the time.
One should take the trade signal for what they are and try to exploit the little edge that they provide the trader with.
We all want consistent profits yet most fail to be consistent in their approach, because they want price to give them perfect signals

I do no make predictions but from what i can see , i believe there is more room for downside retest before a push up , i can see the daily is trying to go into a corrective move and i believe we will be going down to 3830 area before a push up to the 4110 area.

We are in a strange scenario at the moment where the 4h downside is a correction within the daily move up which is also a correction

i recommend you stop typing in that big blue font as it is annoying.

The last count I got from this thread 136 traders went long that day, only 4 went short. That's the official count.
I see no reason for you to lie or exaggerate in numbers of trader. Unless you're too lazy to read.

Small minds, or people who really don't use common sense, are impressed with the superficial.

If people don't want to be conned then learn how to use your brain and observation skills instead of your mouth.

P/S Please post your screen shot the entry you made on Monday, as proof you're with the 136 traders went long on Monday.
