Every up and down movement is not a trend its mostly just chop within a larger range.
What you've done is try to make a trade in chop and as you saw it market went up a bit and down a bit after your entry in a pretty unpredictable manner.

This is waiting for the Powell speech tomorrow night IMO.....it's going to be a big one IMO whether to maintain status quo (monetary policy easing) or start tightening (possible rate hike).

Daily TF Triangle formation

How do I decide which is the best method?
How the price approaches this TL.
How far off is the S & R beyond the TL.
How condensed the range has become by the test.
Most importantly look at overall trend and triangle shape.
If the trend and triangle are saying the same thing, like it's pointing to a break then use the 'join the test' method giving myself at least 25-30 pips cushion.
If trend and triangle are pointing away from this test I probably will use the 'off the test' method.
Another consideration is the approach.
H4 chart test in a candle usually consists of multiple tests when seeing it on a shorter chart.)
When supports and TLs converge from different time frames it can make that TL stronger and I like to play the 'off the test'.

He is talking in a secretive way about some super-important level on the chart which appears there every day.

First of all, that is questionable as nothing like that exists. Unless he can clarify and explain it technically or fundamentally in this forum.
Second of all , maybe, it is just a marketing trick to get even more attention. As I mentioned in my posts before, most beginners are trying to find shortcuts by discovering an easy to follow mechanical system / holy grail which would make them consistent profit, so the claim about some super-important level will get a LOT of attention by the beginners.

Actually, when I check again with his predictions (mostly are off target) , there is nothing secretive about it, just people new to those concepts tend to overcomplicate it.

I dunno, this whole "secret" daily closing prediction candle , shrouded in mystery and intrigue by those who won't (or can't?) spit out exactly what they mean seems to be just as subjective and open to individual interpretation as any other analysis, after all it's based on nothing more than the same data visually represented on a chart.

Attempting to see into the minds of players to try and understand their motives and predict their next move is like trying to read a poker player I imagine, they'll only tell you what they want you to know (candle painting etc) for obvious reasons.

(Assuming, he's using Fundamental).
As far as predictions based on fundamentals, it's again subjective and open to any number of interpretations and contexts, just tune into Bloomberg to hear conflicting views from some well-respected analysts and economists.

If it works for anyone, then great, there are endless ways to skin this banana, but I get the impression from guy like this from the "I know but I ain't telling" brigade that in actual fact there really isn't anything new or secretive to tell after all, it's all just the same old same old, trading is trading!
