DislikedIf you cannot face the brutality of another trader, then how could you handle the brutality of the market?Ignored
Disliked{quote} It has more to do with removing distractions so you can stay focussed on what is important. Toxic people are a distraction. Toxic people should be avoided. Toxic people deserve to be ignored.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Big question is, who's to decide who's toxic and who is not?Ignored
Disliked{quote} I don't want to argue, I want to learn. I want to be a successful trader. I'd LIKE for other experienced, successful traders to help me grow. I may be asking for too much and that's fine if someone would tell me so. But the last thing I want is to have to weed through posts about trivial arguments when all I want to do is learn how to trade. If I'm in the wrong thread that's fine too, just point me in the right direction, please.Ignored
Disliked{quote} It's simple. I determine who is toxic to me. You determine who is toxic to you. If I am trying to do something positive with my life, and someone with a bad attitude comes along and tries to mess things up for me, then that is a toxic person. That is a person I don't want to be around. I want to be around positive people. There is a saying, 'Birds of a feather flock together.'Ignored
Disliked{quote} When I was new and consistent looser, I started to observe and relearn everything. Big part of my learning is reading arguments between experienced traders. Winner or losers doesn't matter.... you can actually learn more from losers.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Will do. I'll take your advice. Looks like I got some reading to do. Thanks.Ignored
Disliked{quote} The topic is about trading. Between two traders with opposing views, perspective and understanding.Ignored
Disliked{quote} The act of disagreeing is not, in itself, the problem. It's the manner in which some people disagree with one another that is problematic. Some people disagree gracefully, while others act like pricks about it. I will leave it at that.Ignored
DislikedArguments do have a usefulness if it is about something material and pertinent. When it get's into personal slander it is too far at that point. I have seen arguments go beyond and then cool off and get back on track and some useful info exchanged by the parties and everyone benefitted. It all depends on the individuals involved. As far as trying to learn from traders here on the forum for new traders a picture is worth a thousand words. That's how to skip the garbage. Look for traders who make calls days in advance. The spur of the moment trades...Ignored
Disliked{quote} When one says everything is 'something' (the 'thing' being determined by the person who believes 'it is'), he or she is essentially making an absolute statement. Such a person does not expect others to see his or her own point of view as mere opinion, but fact. The word, 'is', betrays the thought. That being said, opinions are subjective, and therefore, not absolute. Opinions are subject to time and space. Opinions are matters of taste. Opinions constitute relative truth. So the guy whose quote you shared, was actually violating the law...Ignored
Disliked{quote} As a scalper/day trader, I recommend that to newbies. But the have to straighten up their understanding first and aim for small pips with tight SL to begin. Practice till win rates start climbing to safe level. Cheers!Ignored
