Solid bearish 1hr & 4hr (gmt+3 price feed) bear engulf closes a few mins ago, this after a few tests on the prev 1hr/4hr sw hi zone to y/day's 4185 hi, the top of which is coexistent with the wider 1hr sw hi zone to 4192. Price now testing bottom of the 1hr part of a prev 1hr/4hr sw hi zone =prev res=pot rbs. 4hr part extends to 4158.

1hr is rangy to bearish, 4hr rangy, so it's anyone's guess really...not clear.

for cable i like to grab 10-20pips at a time max those are like easy nuggets to catch......but i do long term holding for gold ... i have two long positions opened since last Wednesday .. tp set 1920 and may change when big bulls show up..... to upto 1950....

Spot on on your remarks. I concur.

Whenever entering a trade, I tried pick random areas to trade this, in fact I traded a method similar to "S&R lines" , drawing the line where I believed the market would not stay, at strong S&R.

But no matter where we (I mean newbie) draw the line, there will be times when the market moves sideways in a tight range and we will be chopped to pieces.

Thanks again for your great observation and sharing good knowledge to help others to succeed.

Done with that scalping trade. Been holding my pees for hours.... phew.

Scalp trading is just as much about days like this than it is about trading systems and positions sizing.

When I have trade like this, I always think about the old saying 'that which does not kill me can only make me stronger'.

Another of my favorite sayings is 'every good roll starts with a crap'. Last night this trade was a crap,. seriously. !
