my take on all of this SL and BUY/SELL stops conversation is , If your in front of a computer, Don't use broker platform to set your SL rather close it manually. There are lot of reasons behind this which i may be able elaborate later.. But of course, If you not around then no choice to have your SL on the brokers platforms. Me of course a fan of controlling my risk using risk and reward method where ultimate goal is to be consistently profitable. Not be the best analyst or nor to beat the broker.
