Agreed on both counts. I tend to stay away from post NFP trading though. There was that one time a couple of months ago where it didnt return, just went in one direction all day. It's too much of a crapshoot. With that said I was hovering over the sell button at 1.3834.... didnt take it

If the direction of the price is down, then at NFP, the price will fall below the price of 1.37779 ... now the market maker doesn't get any meaningful money after the stop hunt ... they are waiting for an order from retail

so the price will not move if the market maker does not get a big profit from retail orders, if the retail buy order is 5000 lots at a broker, the broker will pocket all retail orders and open sell 5000 lots with a leverage of 1: 1, so better we wait in next week .... tier 1 to move the price ....beacause tier 1 in holiday today

I’d personally hold off from any longs until the market reaction when markets reopen after the weekend. Especially as the data from the US was better than expected

Trading business conditions like this cause 95% of retail to lose in the market and leaving 5% who get consistent profit as advertising so that this business always seems attractive as a business .......if there were no disruptions to retail orders it would be easy to get a profit if retail had prepared well

On the GBP side, nothing has changed fundamentally from the rally we saw up to 1.41, which I think was Gilt yield driven. The bearishness recently has been driven by exceptional dollar strength recently imo. Dollar has reversed off of a daily area of supply which has driven this recent rally. How long this lasts on the dollar is open to interpretation, I feel the dollar strength story has a way to go yet.

Only 1.8pip spread on Axitrader - usually around 1.3pips - so up a little but not drastically. The FX market will close at 10pm BST tonight same as usual, but the UK and US stock markets are both closed today.
