When you see the swings and the PA, like that morning, a breakout above old highs were sure for 90% (?). On low volume dipping where everyone's sleeping to get air ripp it up on european open to get possible highest quotes in London. Somone big wants that baby to fly.

The swings get longer and longer, also the downside swings. If I would not known it better I would suggest we are in a summer hole and someone's playing around with the low liquid market. Can anyone provide volume? Is it still high? On my order books I cannot see big volume anymore since one week or at least going down and down.

Yea, I think that may have been a stop hunt for the shorts. Not 100pc sure. I'm at zero pips in cable today so far

GBP yields storming ahead, maybe 0.75% before a pullback

It’s quite easy to tell that we’re currently in a bullish market, however, when this frenzy ends, what then, come March where i’ve read a lot of comments about bearish trends, is it simply that come maybe 5th March, GU will be down to 1.36 area? Simply trying to gather opinions on it as I have seen a lot on a “big drop” or “it’s gonna fall fast”, so just curious to people’s ideologies.

Wishing you all a successful pip farming day (‘:

From time to time I will post some curiosities what's going on currently.

On Eur/Gbp we hadn't had a 40 pip retrace since 8 or 9 days. I think that was last time in the 2010's ? If someone is bored he could check that and post it here.

It's not about the movement in Range, it is HOW it is running. If I would not known it better, I would suggest Boris Johnson personally sitting in front of his computer with a joystick and aiming for every dip on GBP like on Moorhuhn (just google the game) burning tax money over and over.

Fun part: May be it is not him but the ECB to weaken export GBP (someone before mentioned here, thanks for that hint)! This way or another: Who is pushing that market has too much money or does not have to take care of it (aka tax money). I know statistics quite well and I can tell you: To invest like that is the sure way to burn money in long term - even if it looks "right" like in a book to trade. Maybe in the 90's or 80's you could trade like that but not today anymore.

I wonder when it's time to pay the bill...

I think that would be criminal behaviour, highly doubtful that the ECB are involved in currency manipulation. They would have to spend billions then have to explain it if it collapsed.

Well... I could check last years, I think I find about 3-5 cases / articles where they did that LOL.

I can still remember swings in 2013-2018 where the big five moved the market - and got finally on court. They had to pay millions of euros on penalty (probably made 5 times higher amount). Who got ripped? Retailers and semi-pros...

By the way, just a new low on EUR/GBP

Eur/Gbp have 40 pips daily ATR. If have a trend retracement are below daily ATR.
