GBPNZD Watch out possible major support breakout confirmation with minor support breakout around 1.9000 - 1.9010. Sorry if my charts are no longer orthodox, I gave up SMA5 and take my signals from BB combined with candlesticks patterns, Fibonacci and major trend lines, and filter out with RSI and MACD. {image} {image}

We should likely see bearish continuation. Monthly is king.

Follow up on my post #11742.
Just a quick confirmation I like to have on ichimoku.
As you can observe this month’s candlestick opened below the Cloud which is a bearish signal. Next potential obstacle on the downside is for the CS or Lagging Span to cross below the small flat of the KS or Base Line around 1.8590.
Wishing you a great weekend.

Target reached, 470 pips approximately since my first call on November 26. I am square to avoid risks over weekend Brexit talks.
All the best.

I am testing the system last 2 months. Although it is being profitable because of large sl required, it is risky to use with a large account. {image}

EURNZD Bearish continuation likely.
Interesting alignment of monthly, weekly and daily charts: .price action / last close below the Bollinger middle band after a failed rebound last week
-RSI below 50
-MACD in bearish crossover except on the daily.
The main challenge remains the upward trendline
Probably the last position I will take this year as liquidity is expected to evaporate after next weekend since most of “big pockets” traders will mostly get square and leave for the year end.

This one failed. Look Dec.14 candlestick crossed back above BB middle band in agreement with MACD bullish crossover and rebounding from the 86% retracement. Then next candlesticks kept closing above, the signal was clear: get out of here.

Happy new year – the Faeroe islands indeed look beautiful.

When / how do you open your trades in order to avoid the big increase in spread around 17-18 NY time. If I have to wait till past this period it gets quite late in my central European time zone. Was wondering if pending orders would make sense or if you simply wait to place the orders to the morning after.

Cheers,

Follow up post #11748.

As shown on the weekly chart the bearish trend is intact.

I re-entered short on Dec.30 2020 based on the signal given on the close of Dec.29 as shown on the attached daily chart:
https://www.tradingview.com/x/cg1jW4hT/
I strongly recommend that you learn candlestcicks patterns and price action major support/resistance levels (Fibonacci) and trend lines.
Much more reliable than SMA5 pointing up/down.
P.S. I learned a lot from Justin Bennett at dailypriceaction.com

All the best.

Filipo, I did view the weekly forecast from Justin. Interesting. Occasional signals with potentially large gains.

However, I know you like ichimoku, which I have used off and on and find useful. So, I am wondering if you ever take entries from traditional ichi patterns by themselves (I like CS moving into the clear beyond price but of course there are several 'signals' ichi gives using the kumo, TS and KS in different combinations).

IF you do use ichi in conjunction with Daily price action how do you blend the information together? I do not want to distract from the essence of this forum with ichi other than to note it could be a useful tool while in no way replacing the heart of this system.

Thanks!

Hi Forest-Sea, I use Ichimoku only to confirm a signal and CS check is indeed essential.
I also check monthly charts to set targets, and for EURNZD 1.6235 is the confluence of former SSB aligned with the KS from Aug.2015-Apr.17 and also Sep.18-Feb.19, and also matching 50% Fibonacci retracement for the period Apr-Aug 2015.

Thank you very much for this clarification. You, then, use the Monthly more typically than the Weekly to assist in entry confirmation and for key levels?

Not exactly, I use daily and weekly to check signals / hedging levels and monthly for targets.
