Hi, you’ve been using this strategy for a few years now. I was wondering what your success has been? Like what sort of % gain are we talking? Many of us left this thread because we found it to be garbage and was bringing everyone huge losses, but you kept at it regardless.

So many in the Commercial section want to make me rich! :o

Hello old friend.
The way I do it, works for me 6-7 times of 10. But - it is a Security Road - as I have said often before - I -
only go in if I am very sure - go in late - go out early - take often only 1 trade -
It is early to close one of the CadChf trades today - but I will snap 1 trade approx 30 pips, and move sl for trade 2.
Hope your system works for you - How are the rules etc. in the way you trade?

Do you find your stoploss is often far bigger than your take profit? That was the killer for me.

Because of going late in and early out - after being quite sure, I do not have so much sl.
But affect my tp also of course.

I am testing the system last 2 months. Although it is being profitable because of large sl required, it is risky to use with a large account.

I only started 3 days to test this strategy after reading almost half of the pages, for the detractors I post screen of my EA with which I take profit and close orders, I do not mention names because I believe it is not allowed, but I come from a DD scary of all my 10 EAs, super optimized, this one in my opinion has enormous potential ..

Watch out possible major support breakout confirmation with minor support breakout around 1.9000 - 1.9010.
Sorry if my charts are no longer orthodox, I gave up SMA5 and take my signals from BB combined with candlesticks patterns, Fibonacci and major trend lines, and filter out with RSI and MACD.

hello Oddbjorg......its been awhile.......good to see you`re still there chipping away at it.....
now what the wicks are concerned: in my opinion it is important depending on where the wick is.....in your example of USD/CHF we look at the last candle......if it has a big wick on top, that is excellent...it means the buyers were in charge, but the sellers took over with a lot of momentum and closed the day lower.....if today also closes below all the older candles, I reckon its good to sell......
so in short, you dont want a large wick ONLY in the direction you want to trade....what is your experience???

First I hope you and your beloved ones are fine.
To illustrate what I meant here are two recent signals I took in consideration in USDNOK despite not coping with the rule of SMA5 pointing up/down.
Chart 1) after the close of Nov2 it was clear that bulls failed to break the top formed on Sep28 and Nov2 looked almost similar to the doji formed the on Oct30. So in itself a exhaustion signal but when considering WHERE it is located, means on the upper Bollinger band so far from the equilibrium materialised by SMA20, the odds for a reversal were huge. Additionally this was forming a double top with Sep28 crowned by a bearish divergence with RSI. Entering short there allowed to keep the stop-loss or hedging spread very tight and consequently open fire with a bigger bullet...
Applying the SMA5 rule would have implied entering only after Nov4 close much lower.

Chart 2) As price action could have suggested a bottom up reversal and SMA5 went slightly upward, it was clear here again that bulls capitulated and the Nov13 candlestick could not even close higher than Nov12 while RSI kept below 50. As to WHERE it happened is also worth considering: just around the major 50% Fibonacci retracement level and below BB middle band pointing downward.
