@DrDick/@ivan9578/@DrDick -- whoa, dude, you are just now responding to @Tekkies post from January 13, 2019? From 2 years ago? And is it a coincidence that today is also January 13? You weren't trying to fool anyone that you were referencing a recent post, were you? I mean, that wouldn't be your style, would it?

@DrDick/@ivan9578/@DrDick -- youir deceit knows no bounds. But, no worries, @DrDick/@ivan9578/@DrDick, I have your back. Not only am I your personal troll, but also you personal fact checker. I know how important it is to you to be honest, truthful, and get the facts right...

@DrDick/@ivan9578/@DrDave -- you may have thought your IMT Academy thread was dead, but with your most recent post, pretending to respond to @Tekkies, you can rest assured you've hammered the final nails into the coffin. Searching back 2 years to find an old post from January, 13 2019 and trying to make it appear as though it was a recent comment from January 13, 2021 should be evidence enough for anyone you are a deceiver and a fake. Even your lone groupie, @mosiskv, is afraid to touch your comments out of fear of being associated with you.

@DrDick/@ivan9578/@DrDave -- by now everyone must be aware of your use of fake aliases. And your use of historical charts with fake trades. And your use of multiple, funky time frames that no one has a clue WTF you mean. And your faux concern about BigE. And your stabbing @Tekkies in the back. Can you really imagine anyone taking anything you say seriously? I understand we are surrounded by idiots and those are the people you feed on -- but, really, you believe there are still more of us out there who can be fooled?

You're posts are mostly nonsensical drivel, but I must thank you for this; I had a really good laugh!

Keep up the good work of continuing to be an excellent example of how this thread has become a place for daily laughs rather than for serious trading discussions.

{quote} I’m surprised the moderators haven’t done something about you. Well, you see, that is exactly what several people have said about the ToxicFakeTrader!! But the moderators fall back on the Trader Code of Conduct, and because no "serious" offences have occurred, they simply cite "Unresolvable personality conflicts should be managed using the 'Ignore' feature." You can thank the ToxicFakeTrader for bringing the thread down to it's present level during the past 8 years.

Hi emmanuel,

Just to let you know I enjoy reading your post, especially your hard work on the technicals.

Question: what do you think about the GBPUSD longer term?

Keep up the good work.

Did you exit because of the big candle, or because the extreme price poked its nose below the lower BB band? If it wasn't a big candle but price still poked its nose below the band would you have still exited?

Also -- a few minutes before you opened your sell position the price had poked its nose above the upper BB band. In real-time that would have looked like an even better entry than the one you took. Why didn't you take that one? In both cases the BB bands were all still sloping upwards.

I always take profits with the big candles, this was taught by my mentor. If it is a regular selling high / buying low setup, I'll the let the price run till that point and I'm looking to take my scalping profits. This is the longest I wanna stay in a position, at the end of that red candle I've sold again (Setup 2,not used so often) and closed with the next red candle, this is simply by analyzing the price action with bare eyes and it is instinctive, nothing else.
To answer your question, most of the time I'm willing to exit at the other side of the band yes, but it does not apply for every trade... the band could be unnecesarily wide, or I'm trading at the same side of the band, or I'm going for another quick scalp, so.
R:R is around 5:1 and 10:1 at max, that's the only real math involded. And we don't change it, stick to it at all cost..
Stoplosses are usually at the posibble breakout points.
There are no real rules, I let my mind speculate the next wave or price action,simply..
There are 2 types of speculations we make,
1) We try to speculate the next wave.
2) '' try to speculate the new breakout again instinctive, so we don't get stopped out and we will try to get into new positions after the breakout happens
Also on note, the spreads might seem high on the picture but it is actually twice lower, it's due to the night transaction the pic was taken late.

Fair enough -- thanks. However, when you post a screen shot and point out an Entry and Exit then we all assume there was a reason. But if the reason is "bare eyes and instinctive", then what is there for us to learn? We don't have your eyes or instinct. It then just becomes a chart saying "hey, look everyone, I made a trade". Do you know what I mean?

Yes you are right, I'm actually curious maybe some other people are familiar with those kind of setups or chart reading,to be honest after you screen the 1 minute chart for about half an hour you really get an Idea to make profit from it, But I guess most of the traders have not tried it or yet they are always going with the higher timeframes and executing the ''planned trades, indicator crossovers, fibos whatever'' if you will. There is not much price action on the 4 hour chart, if you know what I mean.

Just to continue the discussion... On one hand you say no rules. But on the other hand, in this brief exchange, we've identified two rules:

1. Wait for price to poke its nose above / below BB band.

2. Exit at large candle, or predetermined profit, or stop loss.

To me that sounds awfully like a strategy -- in fact, reversal trading. Why are you hesitant to refer to it as reversal trading? I mean, instinctive or speculative certainly sounds more sexy, but the way you're following PA looks really familiar to me. Maybe because I'm a developer and I've coded a zillion EAs that execute as you've described, then I'm always breaking things down into rules -- I don't know...
