Biden is a diplomatic president that will not preach America first. US will regain the trust of their allies gradually and more togetherness will only make US stronger. As for UK, their new journey outside of EU should bring some prosperity in the long run but not without short run pain and adjustments. If any country is to take world power then China has a chance but will you ever trust the Chinese Yuan as a safe haven currency? Covid 19 may bring a new world order but it will take much more than covid 19 to knock US of their perch.

Back to cable dollar duel, some correction is due to 1.30 area before further rise to 1.43 area in the first half of 2021, delaying of this correction will not necessarily mean denial.

I don't think the UK will let the pound continue to strengthen, especially after Brexit. Why?

You may need to check the current rate being 1.36 against your 1.50 claim....

You may also consider rate from last 10 years to see how pound and euro have been beaten black and blue...

Pound lost its grace from 1.7189 July 2014 high to 1.1409 March 2020 low. So 1.36 doesn't make dollar cheap in anyway, it is pound that is even cheap in the long run but short run its pretty expensive.

I have deliberately avoided FA. I don't even care about JOE because they all told what to do anyway. My projections is based off TA only. I agree we going to see GU lower. That is the last horse KICK I expect from the $.

I can't pin point where the LOW will be at but I am looking forward to picking it up for the yearly impulse.
You clearly stated that no one would trust the YEN. This may give room to GBP to claim it's throne as people may likely trust the POUND more.

its so short on the commercials the yen. but the dollar kicked it into gear. probably crashy gbpjpy. dont wanna touch it. 6-7 pip spreads

holy hell sterling has along way to reclaim anything, she only just tapping ground zero from 2008 gfc, then got smashed in 2014 gft, she has been wallowing in the doldrums since then no money went to sterling, sorry, was all usd yen and franc, sterling was butchered along with most other currencies

Uhm, I wouldn't think so.. I actually think in the near future, GBP will be the most valuable currency around the world. Yeah it might be a bumpy ride but it's definitely in the works. Who knows, this could have bee their plan all along? To make people think it has a long way? I mean even UK residents don't think the POUND would appreciate and this baffles me a lot.
