BTW, long term ideas has been my only back bone when it comes to TA.. I wholeheartedly rely on TA only and nothing else.

Today is an excellent lesson for both bulls and bears. Bears were thinking of at least 100 pips gap down, which not only didn't materialize, GBP pairs actually push upwards. Just when bulls were getting complacent, bears hit them for over 100 pips. It's the holiday season everyone, we should be helping each other. If you are on an opposing side, state why and help each other. No one is always right, unless you can prove it. Help each other watch out for blind spots or factors we might have neglected. NY session is looming, let's see what happens. There is a good possibility this GBP selldown continues because I believe fundamentally, GBP is facing problems (Covid and the Brexit deal isn't good). Tactically, it could be a buy the rumor, sell the news-which, if you align with calendar, it could be very possible. The big boys are buying in advance and have gone for their holidays in Malibu already, while the retail market is still thinking of Brexit deal uplifting the GBP. Once the speculators who are bullish realize this, they may be scrabbling to cover their positions which can cause big falls in a thin market. Speculators do not like to hold their positions for extended periods of time, much less into the new year, so a collapse isn't totally out of the picture. Of course, NY traders can totally flip this on me and bulls can take GBP upwards. Right now, technical analysis won't work for GBP. All movements in GBP for the next few days would be fueled by market sentiment towards the UK economy. It would be considered a victory for bears if they can smash GBP down another 100 pips during NY session. Otherwise, if we look at the bigger timeframe of monthly, it is still a tad higher and could swing either way (technicals). Just my thoughts.
