It's currently at 1.3390 at Xe.com but not entirely reliable until 2 hours before market open.

The FX market for professional trading organizations opens 9 PM CET. This is up to 2 hours earlier than for most retail traders. Huge spikes can occur during these 2 hours which in most cases sees the price eventually coming back to where it closed on Friday. This is not necessarily always the case but most of the times it is.
In the time of writing the price is 1.3386 and it has been more or less steady around there during the weekend.
Usually this doesn’t mean anything. Let’s see. Maybe today it does. If so then good for the bears.

Do you remember the weekend where all GBP pairs opened 100-150 pips down? IG had GU up as well. IG's weekend trading is in no way indicative of what will happen on market open. Every tracking site has all GBP pairs down. As previously mentioned, I do not believe in a 300 pips gap down on opening. I am a realist, I believe a 50-100 pips gap down is what is going to happen. There are 3 core reasons as to why I believe the GBP will sell-off to close the year. This could be a classic buy the rumor, sell the fact. Even though a deal is reached, it could had been priced in and a sell-off can still occur. Secondly, it seems to me that the market does not like the deal. Even during press conference, GBP was being sold. Finally, are we forgetting about the Covid, mutation, lockdowns and travel bans? The deal is supposed to help UK's economy which is why it should bring some joy and uplift for GBP, but we now have adverse news on the Covid front.

All in all, I believe the Cable, after the final 3 trading days of 2020, will end lower. This is just my take. No technical analysis or structures is going to help GBP-it will be driven by fundamental news to close the year. That will be the case for all GBP pairs in my opinion.

SAXO is the one that matters, it will be a slight gap UP, or slight down, but nothing drastic, keep a lookout on XE will move to the market in an hour or so
