I donīt recommend interpreting news and data releases... If you are a VSA trader, you only care about volume and price action, does not mean you should not know the TIME of news releases, because you can get caught off guard. I prefer to stay out of the market during news, unless there is a textbook setup giving me an entry with tight stop.

If either side announces to walk away from the talks and a "no-deal" (even if it is just temporary, they can always pick up negotiations later), GBP will go down, 100%. Why? Because the market is pricing in a deal outcome, that's the major reason GBP is strengthening, because this is the only logic economic reason (for the market). Both sides want (and need) a deal, because no deal is seen as an economic disaster for both the UK and the EU.

For a long time there was no risk-premium built up, like the Options market didn't see an increase in GBP PUTS. Only recently the prices for GBP PUTS went up as the probability of a "no-deal" increased, since both sides are preparing for this scenario and announced it multiple times. So the market ("SM") begun to take refuge in the Options market to hedge their GBP longs in case of a no-deal, simply because they also know where GBP is heading in such a case, as everyone wants to get out of their Long positions as quickly as possible.

And with thinner liquidity over the holidays, this could mean a very violent drop in GBP.

I would agree w/Pip Farm,
No Shorts to be had, the 38.2 ain't happening...

Anything is possible, but i closed my "short" from up above,
In profit, and even if she does go down, it's dangerous at these
Levels to do this w/said "Trend" in tact.

'Also agree w/others... even "if" she dumps- which it is now,
beware of the Longs being Gobbled Up. That said, i get out
& Nice "IMPULSE WAVE" on the 5 min comes rolling in. -Hilarious.

No, you are using volume based indicators, just as I am, but the thing is that you donīt know how to read them, if you canīt read the imbalances between supply and demand, the correct price x volume relationship, then you have no edge.

Just because cumulative delta is positive does not mean long, that is not how it is used even with real volume delta. Cumulative delta is used to check for divergences in order flow, it doesnīt matter if the delta is negative or positive at the moment, price can still keep going up on negative delta (or down with positive delta). The cumulative delta is better used and it sums each bar instead of periodic delta, and when itīs calculation resets to zero at every new daily bar.

Also, the zig zag parameter you are using makes the waves too big to be able to read them properly.
