this was exactly i was looking for ,thanks for making this EA,im wondering if there is tp and sl,so if tp is hit,sl of all other trades also close.if there is an option for breakeven? i have watched your video but please if u can answer this,thanks

Thank you. Yes there is a break-even option. Use the input settings below. This only applies if the recovery mode has been activated.

Many thanks for this ea.i WAS LOOKING FOR soemthing differnt as i have mentioned in my post,every time price hits the buy or sell zone,it will open the trade and it will close in one of the direction by hitting tp or sl.I want the increase factor or multiplier by 0.03 bigger than previous trade.so its hedging in its purest.

Hi Zoheb,

I have been using this EA on Demo and I think it will work better if we include the entry based on bollinger band. Just say buy entry is done when close below lower band and TP is the middle band which means zone recovery is the same size between the middle band and the lower band. For sell entry is just the opposite. How do you think as I see the drawdown will not pass 10% in this case?

This is also something I am trying to do, use the trading system with my own entries. this would be great combined with my own strategy and avoid using a tight stoploss

@zoheb01 will the updated version allow us to use this as a recovery EA for trades opened by other EA's/systems?

It's something on the roadmap but unlikely be available in the next version.

As far as I understand the advantage of this ea is it tries to recover losses instead of hitting a stop loss.
In other words it really doesn't matter what entry set up I use. Coin flip works.
People will argue against this, probability of a set up etc but at the moment a trade is triggered it's 50:50 (unless one knows the future)

The ea will increase lot size every new round based on what the operator decides is acceptable risk.
Eventually the trade should end positive after an x number of "rounds"

I tested this ea now for a couple of weeks on 5 and 15 min TFs and various settings.
At times it works, at times I am amazed how it pulled the trade out of a hole and at times it generates a huge loss.

If it was true that it recovers every loss, everybody would use it and nobody would lose.

My question, is somebody using this type of ea effectively over a longer period of time with real money and size?

Yes, I have been trying it manually for 2 weeks. Its better if the size between the upper and lower band is not that far, maybe around 20 pips for GBPUSD. I see that its also better if the trade is open only since London session.

Am I just asking why there is no fixed Takeprofit?

And why the Profit target adds trade cost and spread

I want to use a fixed tp let's of 10 pips, what the target keep adds pips and be like 15 or 20 pips more the initial tp

Is there a way to have one?

Hey Zoheb.

I've been testing this EA on a standard and micro account using an increase factor of 1.8.
Using an initial 0.01 lot on the std, it places the trades perfectly upon each turn (namely 0.01,0.02, 0.03, 0.06, 0.11 etc) . The EA seems to round off to the nearest lot size. Works perfectly.

Using the micro account at an initial 1 lot( which equates to a 0.01 std lot ) I get 2 turns (1, 1.8 .....)
Upon execution of the 2nd turn I receive an error (Open Buy Stop Order: Error 131 - invalid trade volume)
Thereafter the EA ceased to function. So I would have 2 positions open and would have to manage the trades to conclusion manually.

I would thus assume that the EA does not calculate the lot sizes very well on micro accounts. I hope I am the only one receiving this error but just in case, I'd like to warn others not to use a micro account in the interim until this has been remedied.

Can you actually trade 1.8 lots with your micro account, my understanding of mt4 is that it won't allow anything less that 0.01 increments, meaning 0.018 would be invalid?

I can add an input to remove the trade costs from the profit calculation, but be warned these costs could be quite large if you have turned of 4+ trades in the system...

I think the truth is, as you say there is no edge on it's own in this system. What this system effectively does is change your risk profile; that is it will increase your win rate but also increase your loss size when a loss eventually happens. That being said, this system works best in low noise (low volatility) environments; I think volatility may be more predictable that direction so maybe there's an edge there?

I'd be inclined to try this overnight when activity is low and tight, counter-intuitively, rather than at an open. I think this is what Zoheb did in his original videos using this strategy and it seemed to work.

Not sure about this one, as I don't think you can run two EAs on one symbol on MT4; I think the trade logic would have to be implemented inside the actual Zone Recovery EA.

Removing it will be great. for me, trade cost not an issue

The EA works amazing especially the pending order function,

and I build a system with it, that's just in need for sold tp,
because the more trades it took the tp increase a lot and that's can ruin the system

The purpose of a micro account is, that it is used with cents instead of dollars (or any other currency). Therefor you don't have to convert lotsizes. If you set up your ea on a micro account with the lotsize of 1 lot and you configure the same ea on a standard-account it will open 1 lot as well (not 0.01 lot).
I usually trade on a demo-account with an amount of 10.000 dollars and on a live-cent-account with an amount of 100.00 dollars (which eqals 10.000 micro-dollars) with the same settings and without problems.

@JakeyBaby: What is the maximum allowed trading volume for a single trade with your broker? (e.g. XM global allows 100 Lot per trade)
@aliswee: Maybe it helps to normalize the lot size to 2 digits and already round them up/down?

So the minimum lot size that can be traded on a micro account is 0.10 . Multiply that by 10 and obviously you would get 1 lot
1 lot on a micro account is equivalent to a 0.01 lot on a standard account.

So sure it is very possible to trade a 1.8 lot on a micro account.

I hope this is the correct explanation you are looking for.
