Hey guys,

I just wanted to throw out a big thanks to all of you! Although I still have many possibilities to improve big time, I'm starting to get it. I started this day with 2 loosers (total of -20 pips) due to stupid psychological mistakes. But managed to trade it back so that I'm now up +5 pips for today. It's not much but I managed to get my losses back - and I'm imagining how it'll feel when I don't make the stupid mistakes in the first place.

Still learning, still going and having a long way to go. Thanks for all of your support and help.

Hi Atif58.
Basicly you are 100% correct and it touched the first time.
BUT

Look at the Pa before.
It almost touched before and showed a reaction.

I guess it takes the round number and overshoots it a bit, what is the behaviour of this pair.
It´s never easy.

I agree, that first reaction moved more than 40 pips (As you can see on the M15 chart), that has removed most of the sellers at that point. so the second time price reached that area, the reaction was weak.

Nevertheless my sentiment is Bearish for GU right now, I'm sure most of the sellers al holding their positions, I don't think the price will go above RN 1.3000 (We'll need to see price action around that RN), I'm waiting for some setup to SELL.

But as we know, anything can happen.

We'll see.

Actually the Spike you highlighted with Red arrow was a sudden rise (just 3-5 sec) maybe due to some kind of news....that's why I was kinda ignoring this.

Also a question to the oldest ones here. Do you think that the best time to trade GU is NY open or you trade it during London as well? I have found that NY is more volatile with better and clear moves.

Buying GBPUSD M15 EMA10 First Touch.....does not seem a got trade, actually I am back in trading after a long time, and I think I messing up with rules

The next 15 minute candle should determine the direction of the Gbpusd either up or down.
I have entered Short GBPUSD M15 10EMA First Touch, Confluence with DP/WP.

Please guide someone, did I entered the late in the trade? or it is correct as per rules? Or should I have entered on the Yellow Arrow Candle?

My Understanding is, as It is was the first touch of 10EMA and it was not 2 candle retrace, so I waited for PA confirmation. But it seems for me that I was late, please guide.

Your understanding was correct. That was an excellent entry, well done!

Entering at the yellow arrow or entering after confirmation as you did are both correct.

Hi atif,

nice one, I took the exact same trade on the yellow candle with +35 pips by the way, I entered directly after the close of the candle with the yellow arrow in your post. The reason was that it almost dead-ended into the EMA10. Also it was above the EMA10 a few minutes before. So I watched carefully whether price closed below or above the EMA10. Since it closed below, it was the trigger for me.

that was correct.

over the years i prefer to take 35/50 touch trades than 10, but its a personal preference.

Retrace to M15 35/50 is looking good to SELL near RN.

That was fast!

My entry was at H1 10EMA projection close to M15 35/50.

My first target of +15pip was hit fast, almost cero draw down.

Moved the second trade to BE+2.

On the chart you can also see that I entered (two trades) what I see as a second touch of the M15 10EMA. Both are closed now +24p and +29p. atif58 and NameIsMethos entered at the first touch, those trades were better.

congrats on your last Entry! How much has it been, 45 - 50 pips? Target should have been hit by now It's a nice H1 EMA10 Touch, also almost hit the SMA35 on M15. You also hit the exact High of that Candle. Might I ask what your Entry reason was? I was looking at it as well but on H1 it wasn't an EMA10 Touch at that time and also not an M15 SMA35 Touch.

Targets hit! The first one at 15pips, the second at 45pips.

I know that the entry looks like it was early and didn't even touched M15 35/50 nor H1 10EMA, that is because I treaded thinking of the projection of the H1 10EMA (See the attached H1 Chart) That usually works well to help me to avoid missing the trade. Some other times I enter at the projection and the trade goes against me to really touch the MAs and then goes as excepted. That is why a set enough space before the Stop Loss level.

that was really a good entry,
i had the entry above so my order was not filled...

Anybody Looking to go short on GBPUSD on H1 Higher MA Touch in Confluence with Daily Pivot? I want to but I'M hesitating, due to a strong trend on M5 and also a beginning uptrend on M15
