Today may be an important day, as we saw big moves for all currencies and asset classes. I would argue it can mean two things: 1) risk off is back, and we saw an impulse that starts a new trend. So dollar and yen will go up, stocks / gold / GBP way down. 2) it's a huge bear trap before further dollar weakness meaning new highs for stocks, EUR and gold (probably not GBP which has its own issues). On balance, I think 1 is more likely (a lot of factors here, I am lazy to type them). Which could spell big trouble for GBP. We went from 1.32 to 1.14 earlier...

just a reversion to the mean of the monthly timeframe for most currencies and for the daily timeframe for others and thats all.

trade what you see not what you think. if price looks traped, dont take the trade, move on, as i did on GU today. i wont it long but dxy i want it strong. i dont trade pound, i bought UJ and USDCNH. + some scalps on eu and nu

youre either techical or fundamental.

i am 100% technical and dont give a damn about fundamentals. (yes i do take trades during news events, i dont care whatever news might be, if i see a setup i click, whether its NFP wether is boris or trump talking)

my HTF bias has never failed me, other things had failed me, charts dont lie.

...tomorrow Boe Gvnr Bailey speaks at 0830am London, with Powell later. Boris will announce new Uk wide restrictions re covid. [ ..other devolved areas of the Uk have already bought in new restrictions in their own areas - ie wales and N.I etc..) This can only be bad news re economic effects so could well add more downside pressure re Ł.

As always though, trade what you see not what you think should happen.

Agree, been watching eur/usd moving and Gbp cant just go up atm...sentiment looks indeed very teddy bear

A pullback towards my future daiy pivot at 1.28432 could probably see another short trade opportunity. We are in a short cycle. A daily close above 1.2908 my yearly pivot will invalidate all this.

The rate went up to 1.3480 or something...

The question is how many closures one made when going and then when going ?

That is all that will ever matter... at least to me.
