But not all ways are equal. Some are downright baloney, and some are stupid beyond belief.

Pretty slow guy. 2009 to 2020 is 11 years but still can't understand what hedge is.

Because you must sell not 1, but more. For example 2. Then your virtual loss = distance between long and short + spread + swap + 2*commissions. But next one short will gain you profit. How can you don't understand this... I think you just trolling.

Anyway this thread is about hedging, not hedge vs sl.

Guess some people need to be explained 2 or 3 times, or make it like 100 times as there are some people here ( WINGATE ) that have learning dificulties.

And how can you not understand that if you buy 1 lot, then use stop loss (1 lot sell ), then open 1 lot sell and then take profit and make money. Cant you see that its the same thing??????

So you 100% sure that after your SL triggered, loss gained, and you open new position price will go the way you want?
But how the hell you lost your first one then?
What if your second entry is wrong too? SL again?

Ok, I see your math is not good. Let's take a little quest. For example one trader lost 10% from his deposit. How much % he must gain to get the deposit back?

So you assume that when you are net short the market will go your way and you will make money with your hedged trades, but for me the market will go the other way.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN YOU ARE NET SHORT WITH YOUR HEDGED TRADES AND THE MARKET GOES UP??????

I don't know that and that's why I don't use SL.
If it will go wrong way again I'll open 2x LONGS higher.

This is the main hedge feature, that price movement expands!

In your example you will get 2 SL in a row. In my example I'll have floating loss and quit with profit ones price will move (doesn't matter which way).

Yes, exactly. And you will have 2 SL in a row. And it will be very hard to recover. Do you realize that if you lose 10%, then you have to gain at least 11.2% back (+fees, spread, swaps etc)?
