Your correct, 9/10 we are always right on our first position but emotions kick in and then we close and take the opposite direction only to find out that the trade eventually went in our first direction

Oh, and also, I know this is difficult, but learn to see your profits in percentages, NOT $ value.
This is also a way to " de - humanize" the experience

Im teaching myself to trade the P&l in points value, and not in currency value, anything to help remove the human away from it all

i do not know if you have come across Mark Douglas - Trading in the Zone, good to learn about emotions. He could trade for a company, but went bankrupt going on his own trading for himself, then discovered its the emotions, and became world famous teaching about it - very helpful book / series on youtube

starting midnight tonight for 24hr pa is actually going to move, position traders will already have their positions, for weeks pa has trended east, only range traders would have had any success, tomorrow position traders will collect their rewards,

Heres my emotional brokenness :

I can call the trades 100%, time and again, day after day

i sit here im font of my screen, see its gona happen , watch it happen and NOT press the button...day in and day out

And Im on a Demo acc !!!!

Cant even press the button there

I dont know where to turn to anymore to fix this

Anyone any advice ???

Hello all Taking a break from this pair for a while. Making equally good and bad decision at the moment and feel like I'm not seeing it and wasting my time. Got some other ideas running now, will post soon. Have fun!

In the world I chose to build my strategy, the past few days it was smart money covering their SHORT sells of cable last week

Retail think they are buying each day, and smart are using those BUYS to stop retail out and cover their big position trades.

I see it today clearly, the whole morning, PA take slow to move down, and very fast to move back up , never past VWAP +SD1

Im not an expert in their dealings yet, but Im learning to recognize ' the moves of the enemy"

If you are e very sharp M1 scalper, this is heaven, 10 to 20 pips at a time, expecting switches , not going for trades thats far in TPs

When i was in your stage, somebody told me that: Im not trusting my own strategy. First i have to put together a strategy, than i have to trade that strategy on real account ,even its just a 30 dollar account and try to trade that strategy a smallest lots size, that was 0.01. After that i never traded on demo account, because ur not involved emotionally, and u trade wathever u want, on lot size u dont even care because thats just demo money! But im maybe wrong! That was my way!

That equaly good and bad decisions is the rules flipping, Dealers does this to get retail to take a position, just to pull that position to the stops.

This phase must be turkey shoot in a barrel for them

Anyone that thinks "the market is just random"....trading WILL stay hard for you

Yes, I learnt that studying Mark Douglas.

But its something different I cant pinpoint.

if someone must be in the same room as me, and i just sit here calling the moves, they would hang me at the cross and burn my ass thinking im practising witchcraft...hehehe!!!

Thats how correct i read my scalps, and this has been going on for months now.

I chose to start posting here end get involved, hoping something will change this " condition", maybe some good advice or whatever

its like I have a stroke or something, and my brain and arm is not connecting !

Yeah thanks for your reply. This was my problem, my usual strategy is a one (hopefully correct) trade a day kind of deal. But for some reason this week I got swept up into GBPUSD one min charts and it was going really well on those buys that you mentioned! Then I got lost in the chatter on here, everyone was pretty much in sell mode. But I just didnt see it and kept on buying. But I have had to stop. It was waaaay to much trading for me, and I have to go back to my sweet "one good trade a day" plan. I wish I could say it was fun why it lasted, but it was just a lot of work, both mentally and physically!

If anyone follows F1 Racing, few years back a driver, David Coulthard, when it was the hour of qualifying, where the drivers have a full hour to put in as many laps as they can, and the best time determines their position, David would wait for the last minute of the hour, and take his car out, for ONE lap, and put it on pole position.

His personality is that he is his best under such high pressure, and he knew himself.

In trading, one should know yourself, and the style and pair you wana trade.

NO one else can tell you / critisise you , if they know this, they will keep their traps shut....lol

DEALERS ( smart money), are on the OTHER SIDE of most opinions here.
Retail fund the dealers daily
You follow the crowd, you go as far as the crowd.

So, im here for two reasons now :

1...if my opinion differs from the most here, Im most probably right
2...look and befriend members that trade my style, and are winning
3...man up, and stand emotionally above the opinions.

The crowd are more wrong than right in life, learn to spot the differences.

In game theory :

after a good run like last week, there must be a stall to sort shit out, like in life
so in trading, a few good moves, expect a shitty time, learn to recognize it
