question to Coreg2004 and shahab8b about EW

Here is my main plan with 5 waves: i was thinking that we won't get below 1.281 (wick of wave 1) and from there we start wave 5.

We are below 1.28. My quwstions are about overlaping waves:

- what if today's candel close above 1.275 and below 1.2815?
- do we take waves as overlaped only if body of candle form wave 4 gets into territory of body of candle from wave 1?
- is counting still correct as long as we don't get daily closure below 1.275? or is it wrong just now.

1.278 support survived in the end, although bears (or algos) attacked it quite strongly. So we may see some retrace higher; not sure whether Asia can break a support like this. However, one big thing is risk off mood. It was not anything spectacular by 2020 standards, stock indices fell by 1.5-2%, but they were sold strongly in US session. If this is a sign of things to come, then Asia may sell aggressively, especially on Friday, which would drop GBP among other risk currencies.

...took exactly the same trade with almost identical entry price based on the extreme o/sold conditions 30min/1hr and the repeating reg bullish div set-ups 1min to 15min ...4hr below shows it - was at a prev 4hr sw hi x 2 zone = prev res = pot rbs, and Dly S3. Out +11 G/L with yours.

That was exactly one of the reasons - 260pips - 215% of 30 day adr and extremely o/sold, 76.4% downside extension of y/day's pip range.....find some potential support and it's a hi-probability buy in those circumstances. (I'm a scalper + so only +11 for me.) ....there is money to be made both ways in markets - regardless of the conditions. 15min as an eg is below. It shows the reg bullish div that is there 1min - 15min at the potential 4hr rbs.

{quote} When something specific is driving price it certainly tends not to respect the technicals - like potential support [s] in a strong down move lol ! Bones pointed out the dangers of thinking y/day's daily pinbar type candle was the start of something bullish last London evening and I did agree with him - it is all about context.
Ignored
Yep. Of course "technicals" can be important, but I think some people go way overboard. Because as you say, sometimes news, especially when it comes out of the blue, can totally wipe out any "technical" aspect the charts/prices may have been pointing to. I've actually seen some people trying to make excuses after the fact, in order to keep their reliance on technicals intact. We'll have a huge move as a news event hits, and then a little later someone will say that the move could have been predicted if you had paid more attention to the "technicals". Oh well...

there's nothing stopping it from falling but i think you can relax tomorrow and trade next week, better safe than over trading and losing money . Sometimes you need to study the market without trading so you can be a good trader.

if you knew what he did to me July you would understand my pain, i was holding a sell and contacted him about it, he claimed it would fall that i should be patient, each time i wanted to enter a buy he would disagree and tell me to add more sell, long story cut short, i decided to stop listening to him and i closed all my sell position and entered a buy, i was able to recover a lost of about $12k and made $25k from the buy and till date the market hasn't sold back to the price he kept telling me to hold, the annoying part is that he blocked me when i stopped added more sell positions
