I'm enjoying 170+pips now, you guys think GBP will go lower? I'm just looking at all the bad news in the UK now, brexit, tightened curfew, etc..

Range trading takes into account distance the exchange rate can travel from one region to another before exhaustion sets in through picking of previous ranges.

For instance this September, the method had already notified that September usually move between 500 - 750 pips in the last 10 years... Which gave me a clue that since 1.3481 holds, just less 500 - 650 pips which gives 1.2981 - 1.2831 possible low.

Also yearly range of last 10 years shows minimum range of 1075 pips, then maximum range of 1900 pips (excluding 2016 brexit year). Now in 2020 the range did break the maximum of 1900 pips to 2073 pips due to pandemic, even the violation of the maximum range is still less than 200 pips (1.1409 - 1.3481) immediately 2073 pips range was completed hence this fall which is usually mininum of 550 - 600 pips correction 1.3481 to 1.2931/1.2881

Example 2018... 1.4375 (April High) to 1.2661 (August Low) = 1715 pips ... Then retracement from 1.2661 to 1.3298 = 637 pips. Then final fall from 1.3298 to 1.2475 to complete 2018 yearly range (1.3475 to 1.2475) being 1900 pips.

In summary it gives a guideline of when exhaustion and reversal will set in and also AIDS in calculating the correction levels. As always there is always margin for error but is very minimal if diligently applied.

Georgie, every day can be a start of a new annual cycle. Meaning there are at least 1500 pips h to l. Guaranteed.

Gambling on these 1500 pips, with small/minimal number of entries, can deliver shocking returns, when bet is placed right.

On the other hand, if bet is placed wrong, the loss won't be that dramatic.

14 month average range completes at 2876

but for this week, we have already exceeded it at 1.3

so anything below 1.3 this week is free cash, but this will change when uk parliament sits to jawbone today (Wednesday)
