When talking about trend you should define what time frame..1 hour trend NOT like Daily trend AND daily trend NOT like Monthly trend.
What you are buying for daily I might be selling at Monthly and so on..

The average weekly range(250pips) of GBPUSD is almost hitting so I am excepting the market to enter into consolidation mode before the sell.
At this point, I will advise you to wait on PA to show you the way.

It's okay to follow the trend. Don't fixate on taking counter trades before the price actually confirms that the retracement has begun.
You may be looking at risk v. rewards ratios, but without confirmation, the risk of going against the trend is worse.

I needed to hear this. I made $9,000 profit over the course of the past 3 months and i gave $1500 back doing exactly this. I had made good money on Sunday, probably $600 and on Monday I shorted just because. No good reason. In my mind I thought "that's enough for cable, it needs to retrace...". thanks
