Hello everyone. I'm really close to making what I would consider a "holy grail" trading system based on the principles discussed in this thread. It would require I trade all 28 Forex pairs and have an entry method where I don't lose more than 10 - 20 pips (10 for less volatile pairs and 20 for more volatile pairs) per day on average for 1 position that survives the daily price fluctuation. I'm not sure if that is possible but if i can make it work, I would be able to make money in the worst market condition. I'm looking for a mechanical entry method that would make this possible so any help is appreciated. Thanks

Hello,

I have been experimenting for the last weeks with this method, so far I have good results, I have some legs. But considering my jobs requirements I cannot stack in low timeframe, I will have one position with stop move to be but then later in the day when i check the price I see that my position is in green but the price moved away from me. As a result, as PipEasy said it: you will win but not rich win.

If someone is in the same situation as myself, how do you overcome this problem?

Please read over and over again after entries, excursion, participation, growth; you will understand its value over time, despite its volatile breaks, moving averages, or flying buddha, repeating dozens of times in these articles ...

Thank you very much, the concept of pipEASY is very reasonable, but still difficult to implement because of psychological factors, discipline, persistence and ability to read price action. To be a successful trader is very very very difficult !!!

I've tried to make sense of this stuff since 2004, and perhaps only when I'm close to 40 years old, I'm slowly beginning to have the patience and discipline...

16 years ago, there'd be no chance for me to lose this many positions and hold the winners for so long.

This is a tiny account, as Oanda allows trading down to individual units. I brought down this account from £40 by trying out random stuff to about £16, but when it was at about £24 I started risking 1/5th of my total position both ways, moving the 30 pip trailing stop to break even, and then letting the winners run. Entry at first was just everytime price turned round by 10 pips, but now I'm working on limiting entries (especially against the trend of the 4hr swing) to allow the equity to grow faster.

Something I came to, and started searching threads on adding to winners, and came across this thread. Very interesting, especially the psychology side.

The concept of pipEASY is great in trending market and difficult in sideways market. The trader have to adapt to changing market conditions and change his trading behavior from trade to trade. It can be done but it is very difficult, that's why most traders fail, they cannot adapt. Forget about indicators, the price is the leading indicator. The bars on the chart tells a story about emotions of the other traders. The best traders are like psychologists, they can understand what is going on on other traders mind and trade accordingly. Sorry for my poor English.

When u look at the exercises he provided you can clearly see that he was trying to inculcate the idea that it was more important that you followed your plan more so than winning or losing. Look at the horizontal line exercise. All you do is trade whenever price crosses a line. You keep doing this over and over and over without regard to what the market is doing.

This to me makes a lot of sense. It you calculate the numbers you will find that even with a 50% win rate and with a 1% risk plus a 1:2 ratio, that in about 20 trades you will end up with a 10% increase.

The only requirement is that you find a descent approach. He picked a simple approach, the crossing of a horizontal line.

There is not much more to it. Am I doing this? YES!! But in my case I found that trading once a day is more than enough. What is my performance?
Well let me put it this way. I have passed prop firm challenges... with no sweat and best of all no thinking LOL.

To find low risk entries is not so difficult, the difficult part of this strategy is not to close profitable positions when the market is against you. The entry is not a big problem, the question is when to exit. If I may summarize the strategy, low risk entries on lower time frame (5 minute) for example, exits on daily or weekly chart.
