GU is currently at 2522. If the market opens in the next one hour with a gap down, then all the predictions about 2650 and 2800 will become far-fetched

Possibly.
However, gaps down don't mean much nowadays. Look what the gap down below 1.21 in May produced.

Hello Seniors, I hope you all had a good weekend?.
here is my thought of the week. GBPUSD is most likely to tough 1.25890 (previous month open price) before resuming the sell move. Since this week is the BOE interest rate and the expectation is a rate cut, I foresee a further rise in prices before the fall happens on Thursday. For any massive fall, there should be an equal rise. Well, that is my thought. Best wishes this week.

Here's a top-down technical perspective on GBPUSD; I'm primarily a swing trader by the way. On the daily time frame, bulls have been dominant recently but the bearish prints last week Thursday and Friday indicate the emergence of bearish pressure. Nevertheless, we should be aware of the rising trendline (magenta) traceable to March 20, 2020 which can be influential as resistance. Besides, price action is presently located at a horizontal support zone around 1.24700/1.23700 (SandyBrown). How the market handles the area in the early part of this week should be watched. On the H4 time frame, recent price action has broken down a rising trendline (blue) traceable to May 26, 2020. However, price action printed a bullish candlestick in the last H4-session on Friday. This may result in a retesting of the broken down trendline (blue) for a potential role flip. The 1.26400 area (magenta) is a minor horizontal resistance.

I may be wrong. Trade safe and prosper.

Yes, but that of May occurred at a rock-bottom support.

Apart from the technicals, the fundamentals are also not kind to GU at this period. Infact, it will be interesting to see how the bulls handle this week
