Short both.

UJ failed & EG came through for +5.

I was also in on the buy for GU this hour, but conscious the demand zones were gone, as soon as I saw the downward move on 1M 10:10 candle I reversed the trade and got my +5. BE+1 has just been taken out.

I'm waiting on GU atm with pending sell order on the H1 open price just gone up to daily pivot and appears to be easing back down a bit, along with weak H1 supply area & some micro supply....might make the +5 sell yet!.

moving in the right way.....

Hey Stu. Price has broken the previous high, that looks more like a HOLO trade to me ?

No idea :-) ... I haven't studied HOLO yet....trying to work this one out first!

If it is HOLO, then I'll wriggle out of it like this...the open would have triggered an entry so if I'd entered on the hour then it'd be 123 with a higher high ;-) - because PA was pointing up and we were near the pivot I was just wanting to see, before I went in, if it would blow it's top like UJ did on me yesterday.

I see. The way I have interpretted 123 so far, is that when price takes out the previous hour high/low before reversing back through the opening of the current hour, the trade is not valid anymore. Just realised this might not be correct?

Yes, again it seemed wrong going against that strongish move up! Well done anyways!

I believe you are correct, yes - it was no longer a valid 123, strictly by the rules, when I entered.

But, TS mentions several times to learn to 'dance' - i.e. start to understand how price moves and, unless advised otherwise, I think that learning can be developed in the lower timeframes, which can then maybe develop into intuition whilst watching at the higher timeframes. So I'm trying to go in with some sort of discretion - i.e. 123 was still the trigger here, but I delayed my entry as, for me to have entered on the hour, would have been a gamble in my mind i.e. I had no evidence that a sell had legs other than the basic rules, and I have found that following the basic rules blindly (like an EA) will not result in profit.

Cheers Stu. I understand where you are coming from. It did feel like a gamble to me, unlike the trade before. Do you have another/own method that you normally trade aswell?

Up against daily pivot in GU again this hour with no supply zones, so definitely not in yet...

No, you are correct. The only exception is obviously if you are already in a trade when the new extreme is formed, then you still play off the original levels.
