The analyze of taken trades is a really pain....hanover has also build a tool with many features....toooo much for me...so I build my own with ONY what I need... I need to verify the trades...so the indicator I build shows the trades AND communicates with the signal engine to show wrong trades in a highlight color...and I have a line on chart where the EA was started...the rest is set optional not to have to many lines on chart... Optional are entry exit prices, the time in hour:minutes on the x-axis and arrows for better vizualisation of the trades!...

Good morning, I just found this forum by chance, it seems pure gold to have all this information exchange, it is appreciated.
I have a question about this indicator / Script, it is possible to monitor the open operations in progress, you can see how it reflects the purchases and sales from the historical, but it would be very interesting to see the newly opened entries.

First, thank you pips4life for this great script.

I have a problem: I mainly scalp, so there are lots of trades on the screen. This is why I would like to have a smaller font size for this script.
But even if I change the font size in the input settings from 10 to, say, 5, the font size of the text on the chart actually displayed still is displayed with a size of 10.

How can I correctly change the font size to something other than the default size?

See screenshot attached: font size is 10, even though I set it to 5.

The texts you see are because you have "Show Object Descriptions" set to true. I don't know any way to scale this kind of text in MetaTrader. Maybe there is and you could then control it, but I kinda doubt it. Share if you learn otherwise.

My recommendation is:
If you turn off "Show Object Description", it will be cleaner without any texts at all. You could hover the mouse over an object to see a popup that shows the same object text that you see displayed here. (In my "default" chart template, I turn off this option so I almost never see these texts myself, and I don't use the next option either).

Alternatively, you could both turn off "Show Object Descriptions", but turn On my "DisplayText" option, which creates text objects that will in fact scale per the font size you specify. However, the texts are all horizontal, and since they'll be on top of bars, you may or may not like it.

In MT4, it is now possible to set both the angle and anchor of text objects. For example, one can say 90.0 for the text, and then tilt your head to your left shoulder to read it. (-90 (or +270) would be tilt to your right shoulder). It's also possible to use "ANCHOR_LEFT" and "ANCHOR_RIGHT" as appropriate for texts above-or-below objects. These give some natural separation so the text would not be on top of the objects and bars.

HOWEVER, I've experimented, and doing so has a big annoying drawback in MT4. These texts are rather long, so when they stick straight up or down, there's a good chance that a portion of the text will go higher than the maximum price (or lower than the minimum) of the chart. If ANY part of the text is off-screen, guess what... you see no text object at all! You have to click-and-drag-down on the price Y-axis to squeeze prices until the texts appear. So, IMO it's not very satisfactory either.

In post#1, I place some links to some earlier adaptations of my scripts by others:

There's an "indicator" style by robots4me (But some have noted a few glitches with it in subsequent posts).

There are mt5 versions by getch.

Then, of course, there are alternatives in the Market, as Erebus noted.

I've not been much motivated to enhance my script version any further. It's a fairly low priority for me.

Hello there,

I'm trying to use your script but I'm having a hard time with the input file. I have downloaded some trades from a website where it converted to a CSV with the following parameters:

2020.12.08 02:30:08;Buy;0.10;EURUSD;1.21098;0.71098;1.21198;2020.12.08 08:05:55;1.21198;;;10.00;[tp]

I saved the excel file into a text (tab delimited) file as per your suggestion and placed into the file folder (C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\9D15457EC01AD10E06A932AAC616DC32\MQL4\Files). I have restarted the platform and no trades show in the trade history.

So my question is, how can I import a csv or text file into MT4 in order to visually see the trades taken? All trades where done in another platform. I only have the excel trade history.

Hello. Can you advise the similar script but for MT5. I would like to visualize trade history of another traders(not mine).
For ex.: I download the statement exel or html , insert it in MQL5 folder (in MT5 directory) and can see entry and exit of each deal.
Does someone know such script?

the buttons remain in the template even after deleting all the objects on the chart...Is there any way to solve this porblem please ?Thanks

Can anyone enlighten me as to how I can change the on chart position of the 'buttons' for this indicator. The buttons load to the bottom left corner of the chart but instantly gets covered up with the addition of any below the chart indicators. I want to be able to place the buttons at the top middle of the charts. I have played with the code but nothing seems to work for me. I'm sure it's easy, but I'm just not getting it.
Cluttered charts are visual diarrhea. Whats on your charts?
