MT4 horizontal line price marker display help in mq4

Hello all,

I need some help with mq4.

Please see the attached grid indicator. It displays horizontal lines at whole number levels, or every x amount of pips entered by user.

My question is, how can I disable the price marker display at the end of the horizontal line?

I have also attached an indicator that draws vertical lines. It's a period separator, and that does disable the prices at the end,
I've noted in the code.

As far as I know, it can't be done. Setting the background property to true seems to disable the price marker for vertical lines, but not for horizontal lines. I have no idea why MT4 works like this.

You could try plotting the horizontal line as a trend line (i.e. horizontal = both price ordinates have the same value).

I was able to do it with trendlines as you said.

I'm not real a coder, but I enjoy it, and was able figure it out. For some reason when I change the trendline parameters code from Time[0] to Time[0]*2 the trendlines extend all the way to the end of the chart.

Look at the picture attached.

I've attached the indy, for those who are interested in it.

I enjoy coding too, I find it gives unlocks my creative energy, and there's a sense of satisfaction in bringing an idea to life, exactly the way I designed it to work.

I never thought of using Time[0]*2
Instead, I would probably have used Time[0] and then set the ray attribute on, i.e. ObjectSet(object_name, OBJPROP_RAY, true)
MT4 stores date/time values as the number of seconds after midnight of Jan 1, 1970. Hence your Time[0]*2 works by extending the line to a future point way beyond the RHS of the chart. But I guess you're already aware of that.

Golly, learn to use Metatrader 4

Here is a lesson, easy as 1 - 2 - 3

1) find the MARKET Tab

2) select FREE

3) SEARCH round numbers

Choose an indicator, should be able to figure it out from there

If not, give up or try reading the manual or at least explore http://www.mql5.com for further information

Hi there, just check the checkbox for "Draw object as background" in the horizontal line properties. It will remove the price numbers at the end.
