Laura First, I very much appreciate what you're sharing with us. We are very lucky that you let us into your trading method. I have a question regarding the SMA200 Dashboard. You mentioned you watch M1-M30 for short term trading. But there is a big difference between trading M1 and M15. Can you be a bit more specific what TF you watch when trading a specified TF. Like for example: "when trading M15 I watch the SMA200 Dashboard M5, M30 and H1 to confirm direction" "when trading H1 I look for H4, D and W to confirm direction" Or maybe you don't have...

Hi

You trade the timeframe of your choice and do not need to analyse different timeframes (unless you wish to carry out multi-timeframe analysis).

The reason I mention M1-M30 for short-term trading and H1-W1 for long-term trading is in relation to the dashboard. The probabilities are higher of a successful trade if the group of timeframes is at least 50% in agreement.

So, if you saw a short setup on the M1 chart but M5,M15 and M30 were all green on the dashboard (bullish), you would know this is not a high probability trade to take.

Hope this helps.

Hi everyone!

I'm Elena from Italy. First I have to thank Laura for sharing you system whit us. It's amazing!

I have some trouble installing CompRSISelectv2 of post #1. I'm using a Mac, I copy that indicators in the folder whit the others but I can't find it on my MT4 in the indicators' list. In the end I give up, I won't use it.

Then I noticed this table in the top right corner but I don't now what represents and how I can use it:

https://www.forexfactory.com/blob:ht...0-119a41ea271e

I thought it provided the position of SMA200 in relation to che channel but it's not like that. That information should be given by multi-timeframe dashboard in the bottom right corner but this doesn't work either: it seems an imagine because is always the same for every timeframe and for every pair.

I'm not a computer genius so I don't know if I made something wrong. Can anyone help me?

Thanks!

Hi Laura, Firstly, I wanted to thank you for sharing your strategy with us. I feel really fortunate to have happened across it and be able to learn in real time. My question is to do with the universe markets that you monitor/trade. From your previous post, it sounds like you focus on Dow and Oil and at times currencies. I’m wondering under what conditions you would trade the currencies and which ones? Do you routinely monitor all of them or somehow filter down the list to the most promising to focus on? It seems like a lot of the major and minor...

subscribed.

I want to thank you Laura for sharing and and teaching forum members your strategy.
I started reading from the beginning and am on page 6.
I discovered you did not answer emergentfeat question above, how are you able to monitor the 28 currency pairs, the Dow and Oil?

Apologies, I must have missed that post.

The short answer is, I don't. I tend to trade Dow, Dax, S&P, Oil, Gold, AU, EU, GU, UJ, UC.

However, as you will discover as you progress through the thread, hanover has designed a very useful dashboard that can help to highlight opportunities (link to this thread at bottom of page 1).

Dax short that worked out fine. But main reason to post this is that it started off as a losing long trade (the channel failure). Lesson being, don't be late in admitting you are wrong. Take your loss. There is no shame in then changing your opinion and trading in the opposite direction. {image}

Hi Laura,

Trying to understand this - why do you call this channel failure? Based on the entry point of the trade it does look like the channel was below the SMA when you entered. Did I misunderstood the concept of channel failure?

Hi

Sorry for any confusion. I was referring to the channel failure that happened before my entry. My entry was a standard channel cross.

Thank you for the quick response, that clarifies the confusion.

On the attached EU, will that be a valid entry for the Short or it would be too aggressive? That was from Friday

Now that is aggressive!

Officially it would not be an entry as the channel didn't touch the SMA. However, I have been known to take those setups

For the purposes of any inexperienced traders reading though, I'd stick to channel crosses and channel failures.

With such a Treding system as this one, can the "RiskManagementAdvisor Indicator" be very useful.
The SL line can be moved and so you can directly read the lot size, which depends before the set risk (e.g. 1%).
TP line can also be moved and the TP and RR you can see too. Have fun with it.

Hi everyone - in need of HELP! I've just taken Laura's advice and downloaded MT4 so that I can follow along with the same template as everyone else. However, I'm having extreme difficulty in downloading the indicators. I've searched up many web pages/you tube videos on how to do it but still having no luck so would be very grateful if someone could talk me through it / show me where I'm going wrong please. Here's what I'm doing at the moment:

1) I click on the ADR indicator on the first page of this thread and get this at the bottom of my screen:

Attached Image

2) I double click on that and get asked "How do you want to open this .ex4 file?". I click on Meta Editor

3) This is what I get:

After this I get stuck - nothing seems to happen. I try opening the data folder, opening the MQL4 Folder and then the indicators folder, pasting the indicator into said folder, restarting MT4 etc etc..

It seems that those symbols that appear in the MetaEditor don't actually have any code attached. I'm clearly doing something wrong but I dont know what it is so would gratefully appreciate any help.

Thank You in advance

Wellington

Thank you. I understand the channel did not touch the SMA, but the channel was already below the SMA for a while. In those circumstances, should we wait until the channel touches the SMA and move little further from SMA to reinforce the resistance/support?
