This is where the good entry points are - buying at the bottom.

Let’s see if there’s any further downside with the US open.

Price is already 1.5% off its highs. I don’t think we will realise any big slides off Apple’s statement but you never know when fear will grip the market.

Maybe... But it's been bouncing in this range near the highs for a little while now. I think there could be a push lower to bring some happy retail shorters in. Although client sentiment is already like 90% short...

Yup, could even slide back to 29k. Let’s see...

Either way it doesn’t look like it will be a severe pullback. The Nasdaq is the most impacted and momentum is starting to tick up.

Banked a big Nasdaq profit and went in again.

Letting the Dow run. Stops to break even given volatility. No risks.

FYI

Those saying US rates are headed to 0% or NIRP are ignoring important context: At 0% or lower US rates, $7T in USD FX reserves globally will likely begin bidding for physical gold, of which only ~$120B/year is mined.
Other current ZIRP/NIRP regions do not have this problem. What this means is that if the US takes rates to 0% or lower, the US will effectively be forcing a change in the structure of the USD’s reserve status whereby gold once again becomes the primary reserve asset instead of USTs, except this time with gold at a floating rate.

that’ll be interesting.

Fed have already promised to prop up markets.

Fundamentally, everything is fine for now. I’ll buy until a material level of structure is broken and hits my stop. By then, I would have made a good amount of profit and will only welcome the larger buying opportunity.

I did say already that I believe end of Q1 we are going to see some huge dips based on earnings and GDP. The Apple story is just the first of many. When the real numbers hit it could be a nice 5-7% retracement.

It’s so unbelieveably far from fundamentally fine, if it wasn’t so bent and twisted it might be mildly amusing. With respect on previous cliff drops over the past 2/3 it’s not been sign posted & for reference the fed said before the crash in 07/08 that the market was strong and healthy and no reasons to think otherwise.

“a long while yet” is just around the corner.

Based on - earnings, gdp & now coronavirus, oil price, global supply chain, drop in manufacturing, tourism numbers, Asian gdp... sure fundamentally everything is fine except when it really isn’t.... these new developments arnt yet priced in, everything before this could have been predicted & now it is going to be a lot worse... safe to say some might get priced in early.
