Respectfully, I don’t see the point in debating these things.

We do absolutely live in a crooked world. But there’s a deeper perspective on this. Everything is fine because central banks are supporting the economy. When they stop, everyone in this thread needs to pay attention.

The smart move is to walk with the powers that be, not with the worriers who inevitably end up being the losers.

Yes I agree completely... what I’m saying is the fed don’t always give you a heads up on market dips, they come in afterwards and pull it back up.

Or they say they’re not prepared to prop markets up per 2018, then do it anyway a few days later.

The only guarantees:
The Dow will rise over time
Central banks will support the economy
economic cycles will repeat, there will be more 20-50% crashes

Like I said - Feel free to post your live short trades. I think this is what this thread is for. The fundamentals have been doom and gloom for some people since 2008...

Still got longs open from 29.2k

Awaiting market to tell me what the next move is. Potential for 29k still seems on, if the markets get spooked it could be bigger.

Wont catch any falling knives or try to make certain predictions. Waiting for closed candle wicks and momentum ticking up.

I’ve been short since 29320, 29380 & 29430 but as I didn’t post them live was little point, the first was opened The week before last.

ive not been following this forum religiously for a good few years & just thought to have a look in on Thursday.

Your point is noted tho, I’m not here to clog this up, it’s a live trading forum, if my targets get hit & I reopen I will post.

gl all.

Sorry if it was a little rude. I am not discouraging dialogue or saying everyone should be a bull or trade like D1. Just felt from your posts that you are trying to post flaws in his approach or theorizing without actually backing it up with trades...

I know it’s not an entry / exit / slightly off topic but I have heard through some very reliable sources.

100,000+ deaths from the coronavirus in China since beginning of Jan.

it won’t stay under wraps much longer & then we all know what will happen.

still short.

ill refrain posting now and watch out below. Nice targets around 27k & 24k on the Dow.

The coronavirus looks more serious especially in China mainly due to the fact that believe it or not, China still is a communist country and the flow of information is well controlled.
There might be some impact on indices, but eventually US indices especially are poised to resume the upwards move, PB and advance north, profit taking and reloading longs.
It is also instructive to look at statistics in relation to the seasonal PA.
Celebrating discipline.

2be honest (excuse the pun) I don’t think it’s quite so simple.

company buy backs that have taken place over recent times has made companies (& the market) far more unstable (it is not just the fed that has been propping it up!) & not in any fit shape for any considerable profit drop... it’s very much still unknown how it will play out but it could have a far more damaging effect & may have been taken out of the fed hands.

About time, a social experiment gone wrong!

I’ll add. Much of how this plays out depends on how the virus plays out but point is even with the feds support if companies drop profit by large amounts the market WILL NOT keep rising. Common sense and logic will prevail.

again - a long time coming.

Aimo of course, bests to all.

Pulled another two profits.

Was busy having a nice dinner with a young Portuguese lady.

Had a laugh at myself earlier. Today was very profitable, and so I entered a ‘Delta’ sized trade. After being down £10,000 within seconds, my palms were sweaty and I closed out for -£20 twenty minutes later. If I had held on to the end of the day I would have walked out with a sizeable profit.

Still happy to proceed with minimal risk!

Death rate in wuhan is 2.5% due to congested hospitals but outside its comparable to seasonal flu. There are 15k patients in critical condition who may rise the toll but no one seems to care.

There is very very little case for doom scenario. Every dip is still buying opportunity.

I somewhat agree with you that once this whole thing starts unravelling it will be BIG... Question is - is NOW the time when it will start?.. Or does one want to buy the dip until there are actual signs in the market that things are going to the toilet....
