Disliked{quote} 1. Don't believe everything you read on the internet. 2. What if his account is in billions? Then 750k is nothing to him.Ignored
Disliked{quote} A-ha, enjoy. I was meaning to ask you, I can only get 250 lots (indices) max with ICmarkets. You had 800 on right? How did you manage that... special dispensation? I would have thought even with a pro account youd get 500 tops. I am seriously out of date with regulatory retail trading laws. As an aside, short term volatility is very low again. I expect it will rebound and we will get a small-med buying opportunity next week (probably max 1% drop). Possibly a few of them with news upcoming. Volatility rebounds are key everyone :-)Ignored
DislikedGot out with small profits, also had a ftse position open and I opened a US30 when the market turned which remained open. We should know better and sit on the sides during such volatile periods!!Ignored
Dislikedf.e.: who knows what brownian motion and monte carlo method has to do with the stock market? how can theory of games help you? CAPM? biggest fool theory? any kind of empirical capital market research (hint: seasonalities)? DCF? not the place for it here, i know. should take a break again and go back to university...Ignored
Disliked{quote} canīt agree: high volatility means great chances. as long as one knows how to exploit vola, itīs all good. most traders here think ta (technical analysis) is best. a minority thinks that fa (fundamental analysis) is best. i say: sa (scenario analysis) is best which includes ta, fa, pa (political analysis) and ba (behavioural analysis) + statistical based heuristics. one needs a 360 degree approach when going for the highest return. but thatīs not made or available for joe public, esp. here on a public forum... ...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Oh - I love volatility as all of my posts will demonstrate. Volatility provides us with the buying room during this bull run. With that said, volatility big swings at the top of a market is very risky. I reduced my risk anyway by 50% and it paid off with profits: but, I feel its more sensible to wait out these scenarios.Ignored
Disliked{quote} trust me, i know how to - iīm an ex-banker. iīm not a single, and also i donīt have only a single broker. itīs doable.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Ah - yes of course with multiple brokers/accounts. I just thought you managed 800 with a single account on icmarkets so just wondered if they are approving bigger accounts! I currently work for a major investment bank. Hoping to go solo and retire. :-)Ignored
