Looks like kicking the can down the road it is, now that EU knows Boris most likely lost his no deal card, there are no incentives to re-open the withdrawal agreement.
Not so sure if it is really going to be as simple to get an extension from EU this time around, since the current UK parliament cannot agree on what they want and it doesn't look like labour is going to a the general election vote tomorrow, they are now back to square one and will most likely keep on asking for extensions in 2020 too. If I am EU, I will grant further extensions only if UK agrees to hold another referendum and hoping they chose to remain this time.

Thinking short term rally on GU, but the continuous prolongation of Brexit should be quite bad for GU long term, and if any EU leaders come out and say they won't grant an extension, it will probably sent it down quite violently.

The Uk public voting pattern had made it so -EU needed addressing after passing many treaties of change with no public check at all.

So Uk public at large want to get out and that's not changed. Mostly England and Wales of course but it's a Union.
It would be weird to say we have a mandate to remain when the vote in that area was remain...(Scots)
In an election, this will be borne out,
because the fact is = no matter what's been said in 3 years no one changed their mind especially existing parliament who don't want to do it.

They were super lucky to vote remain
Scotland cost the Uk Union more than the EU running a massive deficit including oil and gas revenue
Let alone tariffs if they joined EU with their biggest trading partner by far.

The main thing to consider is the public made this happen, it's not Cameron or any other politicians fault.
The public gives parliament its sovereignty and their about to kick out a lot of deadwood who still fight for remain when the biggest vote in history was leave.
That's the beauty a democracy where your vote can change something.
