Based on my swing-trading system, I will be looking for a GBPUSD sell trading opportunity at the 1.24990/1.23900 zone (bound by black horizontal lines in the attached D1 chart) if price action gives a bearish setup there on a 4H closing basis.

The GBPUSD's current technical disposition is ambivalent although the general direction is southwards. Patience is required to wait for the two to align unless for scalpers. It is also good to note that there is a falling channel (e.g. on H4, D1 and W1 tfs) within which price action is operating, and price action is located some pips below the channel resistance. The monthly pivot is also just a few pips above current location of price action. Trade safe. KP

since the down trend started GU never manage to retrace more than 300~pips and then drop again
we have 500pips drop to 700pips drop
our bottom is 1.2015 and with yesterday high we could say we did 300pips retrace
so is it time to finally dump this thing to a new low ?
a daily close below 1.2140 is a guaranteed ticket to break down the 1.2000

I was with you on the same trade in GC but almost cut me out by 2 pips. Suddenly reversed and came down. God knows what happened...?

Not sure if it is strong enough to go down to 1.2193 but if it does, that is a great area to buy. Most likely (i think) to 1.2230 area before we go back up again.
