Short EU +5 locked I had this trade long earlier as indicated. Short on this on on same bar, notice the line up from previous highs.

Forex trading seems easy: you just have to buy low and sell high, why aren’t you doing it already? Well, in practice it is not. You are caught by the idea of enormous returns. You believe to double your initial capital in weeks or perhaps days. That is the biggest mistakes new traders do, they do not have the patience required to actually start making money, they basically gamble in the forex market. Use a demo account to practice on, later open real account. The majority of beginners traders are far better suited for longer term trading strategies. Among other things, longer-term strategies allow a trader far more free time and require less screen time. Day trading is a specialized occupation that takes years of work and experience to master.

Careful. Look at the three bars to the left. This one here could develop into the same pattern.

Give us the pair and the tf and perhaps with more info it could become clearer.

G’day Lemercenaire, sorry I just saw your post. Most of the long TF have been successful mainly due of course to TS’s 123 strategy. I’m trying to avoid Weeklies since so much can happen in that time, but it’s good for a general directional guide. I have a question for tooslow, hal and lemercenaire

You use H[0] for entries right? My experience is that this entry sometimes too early or too late. H[1] seems to work better for me, because H[0] entry is often confirmed, when price already moved a lot towards D[0].

Could you elaborate on this please?

Not sure exactly what you are referring to but my entry bar is off the H1, I do at times take trades when the current bar makes and new high and comes back through the open but that is not a 123 official set up.

Hi maxwell.

Not entirely sure I know what you mean (I do have to say that I ignore all the surrounding bumpff (H[0], H[1] labels etc etc et al)) and never look at them. All I do is follow the rules as laid out and the bars I see in front of me.

Hello hal,

in this chart for example. You took the trade on the current bar H[0], but this bar could make a new higher high.
So... I always wait for the current bar H[0] not to make a higher high (or lower low) (These are the rules). It then becomes bar H[1] and I trade that open of H[1] as an entry.
