With EURO red news due in 20 mins or so and with price really struggling to close below my target level (and me beginning to lose the will to live while waiting for something...anything..to happen), I closed this out for +3.5. I was in heavy off a re-entry on the 5-min chart fib level (hence the slightly off mark on the H1), so I certainly didn't want to give it all back if it went against me.

Thanks Lemercenaire, I am still working on my mentality, but still, there are occasions I just couldn't help to look back what I left, lol
you are right, 10 pips bagged is always batter then 1 pip lost or get burned for even more pips,

Don't get me wrong, looking back at what you ''missed'' is a powerful motivational tool...if used correctly.

Look at it as confirmation that you made the right call. It was simply that you need to work on trade management. That's a whole novel in itself, after all - but it's something that you can continuously improve.

Spin it in a positive light. Make a note of what you did, What would you do differently? Also, sometimes it was just a fluke - and no matter what way you were to have looked at the information, you still wouldn't have held it that long. That happens.

Use the information you learn from that analysis to inform your next decision when you are faced with the same situation.

It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

Keep it up.

Out-and-about most of the day and back now, really struggled to find something I liked...until this came totally out of left field! Topped out at ADR and long grind of 6 Bull candles in a row. Had to be worth a try.
