Please realise its not my definition so I will not challenge you on this. I use a indicator to perform the Task of measuring speed and I can relate this number I receive to the speed I see a Tick Chart move. I get three numbers from the indicator and it is live and always flashing numbers but it gives me that trading edge.
Yes, speed is time over distance in relation to volume but to keep things simple, I use the designers description.
Take it up with them, I am only a offering their description.
I just make money trading first and if my explanation details are not correct, I am always happy to be pulled up on this.

Erm, I did ask you "what is your definition of a Tick". You can challenge me all you want mate. It's all good.
Any way, if you're just giving your view on how the indicator you are using works, that's all fine, maybe you misunderstood what the author really means by a Tick.
I don't need to take it up with them mate. You're more than welcome to Google it, you'll see I'm cutting it to you straight.
I know several Market Makers cross the world who use the "Tick Chart" to place their orders. If you ask me, that's the quickest way to a heart attack lol
