Switching things up Scott. Smooth Yellow!! this trades is forming up really well. Got to say that the fair value was a long way off last year and start of this year. So move is justified and even lower for NZ against the CAD. Has been coming and long overdue. First chart from Jan this year and can see it is pulling back in nicely but could argue over time still has some to go.

At some stage equities and VIX has to respond to break out of the Bond market above 3.10.

Hi Squawk, I like your idea on the DBK play but it is a difficult one to time due to the following factors 1) latest interest rate raise and general hawkishness in the US 2) the weak inflation report from the EU 3) the Chinese investment firm divesting their shares 4) Sentiment in DAX potentially being impacted by US equities faltering. I suppose it's a case of waiting for it to base wherever that might be :-)!

Good risks are those that you will both regret not taking and won’t regret if they backfire

Taking good risks requires knowing both the odds of failure and how that failure will affect you afterwards. Which are difficult things to know. Often impossible. Especially because we’re likely to overestimate our personal odds of success. You have to overestimate your odds of success, or else you’d be paralyzed most of the time. Actual risk management is understanding that even if you do everything you can to avoid regrets, you are at best dealing with odds, and all reasonable odds are less than 100. So there is a measurable chance you’ll be disappointed, no matter how hard you’ll try or how smart you are. The biggest risk – the biggest regret – happens when you ignore that reality.

Index may have some potential here with Vol up and Bond Yield breakout. Post 10Y long term chat again as top normally signals equities sell off. Although top looks possible to 4.

GN looking to be the first to retrace full Brexit sell off. Kiwi coming from an overbought, hi yield, carry trade sell off from last few years. Bond spreads currently give Kiwi no benefits.

The below chart of 2 yr yield spreads give a good indication of fall from top. Hard to know just how much price was built into the carry trade last few years but there was a lot.
