The bullish engulfer on the H1 you mention I point you to look at the internals - M5 you will see an inverse HNS, it will mean nothing if there is no breakout, in fact it will mean a pattern failure and a reverse direction can happen. One should also look at all way.

The pause now can also be due to the H4 upchannel support, after the rejection from the H4 channel mid at 1.3082 region.

Unless I am mistaken, isn't inverse HNS bullish? And from hindsight now, the bulls have taken out the M5 average. Infact, W38 and EMA200/H5 at 2999 are now on the radar. Beat that and the bears won't be sitting pretty. So, the bulls are not down and out today yet.

Indeed, H1 is now bullish and H4 has printed a bullish doji; general trend is still down though

Yes it is, what I am saying is unless it breaks out it will then valid it, otherwise the bullish engulfing does not mean it is bullish. Even as it BO as of now the inverse HNS, it does look kinda weak, but we'll see how it goes
