shouldn't the figure weakens the dollar? and why is it bullish when it should be bearish??

It is a bad NFP and yet, why is it dollar support?!

My first post :-)

Well I made 100+ pip on GBP/CHF

30 pips on USD/CHF

25+ pips on USD/JPY

So all in all not bad. All are still open with some profits locked in

yeah the prior was revised to 188K, and that is 60K better than was reported originally. but STILL, september jobs report looked like crap, should have moved the dollar down for sure. but the dollar looks strong now.

For GBP/USD...Why is it bearish? It must be bullish since the bad NFP right?Anyone knows?

With the exception of first number, everything else worked out as predicted.

What was that? That was all the brokers making lots of profit...thats what that was.

Some info gathered from around...

1) US NFP jobs increase 51K vs. exp. 120K and prior 128K is revised to 188

2) The large positive revision to August jobs nets out to a two month average of just below 120K, along with a drop in the unemployment rate, so the jobs report is better than expected, despite the headline miss for September. Avg hourly earnings also revised higher for August. Net-net, its dollar positive report, but not sufficient for a sustained break of the range.

What is going on? Why is the EUR dropping??? Wow...this is my first official really bad day. I got smacked down.

Lucky to get 38 pips out of the retrace in GBP/USD. It's one massive whipsaw I've ever seen. Enough for the day.....

if it reverses it could reverse big-style.

Clearly negative numbers and dollar bubbles

This month report can't be effected by last month's reading man...It is bad, worst-than -expected news on NFP. And yet, for GBP/USD, why is it bearish instead of bullish? Sick dollar...The outcome will be fragile for dollar...
Sick market I guess...

Someone please SHOOOOT me. Is there any hidden news that I am not aware of?

especially taking with philly fed last week. this should drop now.

I lost bad today. I do not feel like calculating the pips, but I lost over $100 on a mini account. Broker filled my stop loss after I thought the trade and all orders attached to it were closed. I lost big on this one.

Unless you adapt to a different, slightly longer timeframe strategy when it whipsaws like this...

These massive revision are killing the credibilty of the initial report. While I am tempted to say that the revision should not be as pertainant as the more recent report, you have to look at this massive revision and it makes you wonder.

Revisions guys, even bloomberg is saying it.

"adding 60k jobs from last months is something like 120k jobs for this month."- Some floor member on the Chicago mercentile exchange.

That equals good dollar. Retrace looks good about now, wait til it goes up to 10-15 pips before entering retraces.

Today is seen as a stupid and sick market movement. GBP/USD should be bullish...Bad NFP and then dollar support? It's ridicullous....I hope the market reverse and make up their stupidness...
