I too am looking for an explanation, shorted at 117.56, now we are at 118 again a few hours later, quess that is the name of the game, we shall see what happens....Anyone else got caught up in this?

GMT as well, but it has to open in a little over 2 hours at 1.8861 or lower, but this in my mind will be a confirmation of the prior sell earlier and should reinforce that the first pp would be reached.

See that one candle far to the left around 117.34 that hit? On our charts (GMT), that is the left most point, thus creating a more horizontal line, which never broke. That is just an example of different time zones. BUT, you probably didn't lose earlier on a false eur/usd long trade either. It all equals in the end, probably. Just curious if you've taken a look at the "Search for filters" thread? We're still examining it, but if using one of the filters, I would'nt have taken that sell based on your chart because of it.

Read that board for more details.

i went long on this one on 117.60 yesterday and would expect it to get to 118.20 at least... mayby 118.50 even...

its all from gartley pattern tough... well, its not perfect gartley... mayby rather wolfe wave as i see it now so I wouldn't really be supprised if it will go to 118.50 and then start reversing downwards...

also, believ, i see a supply candle further to right than the one you used (the left one on your chart)... shouldn't you draw the line using it (since its newer supply line)? then the suply line wouldn't be broken...

You can't expect perfection from any system. You can get good and bad trades. This is tough game to stay in. I believe forex is a chess game. There are lots of opponents which make's it more fun to win.

Anyhow always keep backup plan.

Check this out - funny thing is a friend of mine has a demo account. Every trade he makes on his live account, he does on his demo account. Started with $5000. When the trade goes against him, it hits his s/l on his live account. He puts no s/l on his demo. He has traded 20 times, and the price has always come back and made him profit. He was down $2000 in one pair even. Account is up to $14,850 in 2 weeks. Of course, it is a demo so you don't worry. If I had $5000 in a live account and was down $2000 I'd FREAK.... Anyway, not saying that is a good strategy not having a s/l, but it does go to show you the importance of patience.

You are right IIamber3. I am three months old in Forex market and I believe patience is the most important key to success.
1 trader viewing now
