i do like the eur/try because of the swaps mate that advice came from you i trade them nearly the same and yes i do love the swaps

Yes I did look at the eurtry briefly some time ago but stayed with the usdtry plus all my other pairs but starting to think that I should concentrate on less pairs now that I am old and Senile..O.K a poor joke but there is an old saying "One can not escape the Truth"
I do hope you gave settled in at Ballarat...Too Bloody cold for me.....I spent two winters in Shepparton,one in Bendigo and one in Wodonga and only one Winters Day in Ballarat and that was enough for a Whimp like myself.

less pairs less to look after if people trade 8 pairs and can do it but i find they have 3 wins 5 loses or 5 wins 3 loses and not making headway my opinion the less amount of pairs helps you focus on those pairs i do have blinkers on mate when trading >>>> its my fav topic

IN 10h we will have new portion of eco data from TR. For now I am still bearish until next CB meeting about interest rates. Today I am bit surprise with this small down movement off USD/TRY against USD index. It could means that some Turkish investors bought LIRA today. Anyway before we break 4.78 with good volume there is no place to open the bearish champagne It can go back to 4.84-4.90 easily. Lets see what next day brings to us {image}

This post is getting more relevant as the price sits more heavily on 4.78. The question I have is how can you tell if it breaks with good volume or not in Forex. I mean, if your broker gives you volume, that's still not really volume.
I took today two small shorts on eurtry and usdtry, 1 lot each. It shows on usdtry that I made 41 pips but same distance on a major pair would have been 4 pips ... therefore trading 1 lot on usdtry is like trading 10 lot on eurusd if keeping the same movement speed. (I don't know if it makes sense.)
