The only way demo trading can be educational is if you trade the same way as you would on the live account - same lots, same leverage, same strategy. Everything else is a waste of time.

actually in spite of same conditions , good result will not come from demo trading , because its all about psychology and we cant avoid this.

Having all argumentson the table there is only one conlcusion possible: demotrading is the worst invention of this industry by far!

There is no excuse to NOT use hilarious small amounts on a micro account to "learn" everything you need. What nearly ALL traders do not realize is the worth of their most valuable ressource: time!

And exactly time is so extremely wasted by using demo accounts. False impressions, useless extrapolations, not adaptable results. There is absolutely no benefit in having a demo account - i repeat. NOT A SINGLE ONE !

If you dont have money for a small live account you are on the wrong journey anyway.

Yeah, you are right. It helps in some extend. The best way is take same amount of capital as you intend to invest in real account. For example, if you want to invest 200$, in demo account take same 200$. It will help you to develop your trading strategy and psychology as well. And focus developing strategy not making profit.

wow, that's wicked good try. Demo account and real account both have in common. please try real account. $100 real account is good choice to start studying, at least you won't lose to much. make sure to keep your equity endurance for your balance psychology

I don't think a newbie should start with a live account right away, even if it's a small live account. They need at least to learn the actual software before they invest money in trading.

The amount of money they are going to lose once they realize that theeir demowonder is not working live will be higher than the small testamount when going live instantly everytime. simple math.

Just my two cents
Demo works for a certain time: you got an idea for a trading system, so you gotte test it out. If you even can't make money on demo you shouldn't even think about going live.
After you got a month (or 2) result of demo account and it seems positive, you should switch, and try it with a realy small account. Money you're willing to lose. This because our mind seems to block certain trading styles in live because you suddenly take 'risks'.

live account can be beneficiary for acquiring real trading experience but first of all they have to finish basic level of trading, otherwise this approach will not work at all.

As I said, I don't see a reason to waste money on a live account when one still doesn't do which button on the platform does what exactly.

wasting money from demo is just wasting of time , but if you lose money from live account, minimum there is a chance to acquire real trading knowledge.

I completely agree with you, demo can be only useful if you trade on it like the live account with same trading conditions. Otherwise it is waste of time.

Unfortunately a lot of people try to trade on a demo the way they wish they could on a live account - with large accounts and with a big lot, and it creates very unrealistic expectations.

if anyone want to be successful by demos experience, first of all you have trade in here with low leverage with great concentrate, but we trade here with large amount with high risk ratio and ultimately cant control emotions and greed. so trade with a cool mind when trading in a demo.

A demo account, this is what will make you successful and rich in the market. I am not kidding. The first thing you need to understand, you need a trade skill. You must understand what is happening on the chart. You will never start earning a living if you use someone's trading system. You can earn only by using your personal understanding of the market, which comes only with experience and not otherwise. All you need is a clean chart, no indicators, an understanding of a couple of patterns and practice. Understand that you can not come into some kind of sphere and start taking money out of it. Look at how to study for lawyers, several years, then practice and then big salaries and respect. Why do you think that forex should be different? If you want to really learn how to trade, for example on a 4 hour chart, you need to set aside a minimum of 6 months and a minimum of 500 transactions within your practice on a demo account! You will observe the market and whether you want it or not, over time the understanding of its movements becomes. There is nothing difficult in this, believe me. After that you will be able to trade on a real account. You will get used to behaving in a certain way on the market, you will understand what works and what does not. Will behave exactly the same as in the demo account. From here you will already get used to psychological aspects including, you will trade without nerves and stress. There is one more secret, a trade journal, it can speed up your success, but I will write about it separately if anyone will be interested.
If you can't do it on demo, you can't do it live.

In demo we have to trade with high leverage to see the performance how it works , this approach can be supportive to avoid risk when trading in a live.

but the experience we take from demo by using leverage , its not work in live trading.
