In demo you trade with no pressure, orders are fast, and it’s not a big deal if you lose fake money. But in real account your emotions hit you, and trades don’t always act the same, for example you can get slippage.
Demo is great for building execution habits, but it can lie to you on fills and psychology. In my experience, the ‘real’ switch is when slippage + emotions show up—so go live small as soon as you can follow rules consistently, not when you ‘feel ready

Nice progress. But demo trading can be quite different from real trading. In demos, orders are usually filled instantly and spreads stay stable. In real markets - you can get slippage, delays, or wider spreads.. especially if you’re trading very short timeframes.
Also, it’s much easier to trade when it’s not real money. Emotions change things a lot. Platforms used by brokers like GCI with MT4 are great for learning, but demo results don’t always match live trading. I’d keep testing the strategy longer and focus on risk control.
Don't trust the performance of pending orders and trailing stops in demo environments. Demo accounts lack slippage, whereas in live trading, slippage can decimate your account. If your trailing stops are too tight, your profit targets too small, or if you rely solely on pending orders for profit, the results on a live account are often brutal
Hi all, I'm new to Forex, and I've opened a demo account to GCI. I like their platform, and I've started with 50 000 USD virtual money. After 2 days, I went down to 30 000 USD and was about to stop everything. I've decided to change my methodology, and I rised the account to 78 000 in 2 days. But again I made a bad choice and this time I went down to 18 000 After that I've done a serious brainstorming and I've found a method that works for me... in one week my account has : 1 800 000 USD!!! Wow. The question I have is : does these demo can be compared...

The method you found, most likely will not work in live account.
I really do not understand when you say "the curve" goes up quick and high. It sounds like some kind of scalping . Scalping are not profitable strategies.
They too are sensitive to spreads and fills, specially in price spikes

you meant to say, scalping is not profitable for retail. Because for hedge funds and big Chicago props, its some of the most profitable strategies that exist. I mean, why else would they all be building servers right next to the exchanges? Are they just wasting tens of millions of $ for nothing>?
What is your opinion about triffholdings-ltd.info trading platform? As I see they are not under any financial authorities regulation. Can they be trustworthy?
Demo account teaches the setup, but real account teaches your psychology. I was profitable on demo much earlier, but only live trading showed me how fear and greed can destroy a good plan
Using a demo account reduces psychological pressure, but in real trading, spreads and latency can affect your profits. It's recommended that you first test your strategy using a live account with a very small amount of capital to see if it works in real market conditions.
